Those knipex strippers do a lot of things well. I have them, and have the installation pliers. For a good all-rounder, they are great. If you are jumping between wire sizes on a job, they are the thing to have. And they do cut MC like butter, as another commentor mentioned. Personal preference, I like the installation pliers better, just for the needle nose aspect. Both are quality tools and will serve you well, just need to decide which is best for you! 👍

If i had to own one the forged are the all rounders. Good choice on dipped grips rhe comfort/insulated are huge in comparison and est up tons of space in a veto pocket. Thoes cobras what sizes were they 250 180? 180s my favorite by far! The big thin kn thr instalation pliers is the head is more like needle nose (besides just only stripping 2 sizes) and not spring loaded. I'd love the metric chrome version with the spring and same lock as the forged in awg us sizes (only metric for that specific model). I've covered alot of what to expect in other comments but on e you get use to using your fingers to push the pliers open more it becomes second nature. Also the forged strippers cut mc better than even step cuts it dosent hate aluminum at all. If they arnt stipping as well as you hoped try just slight twisting the pliers in you hand at an angle. It's a small thing but it kinda gets you flicking and strips easier. Play around you'll find what works for you and there way better than thoes ideal or klein hybrids that are basically clubs in the hand.

@@MattHmm-rq6dn yes 180 & 250. I saw Wiha has something similar in the chrome finish, but for sure the hybrids are not the best. I liked the Milwaukee 6in1 while it lasted 🫡⚡️

We had a box of dead milwaukee 6 in 1s after buying 12 for the crew i spent up on knipex and suddenly there 2 to 3 years on each pair so far. The rivet pivot point actually shifted and broke on many of them. People love them but I can't torture myself like that. I'm glad someone else had issues with them instead of praising them like many do.

Always have to be careful of getting fakes these days. The risk often isn’t worth it unless it’s for a product nobody would copy. Fake tools are a thing, oddly enough.
