It's a great feeling man. I've taken her before, but this trip was the first time we went just the two of us. She is really starting to enjoy it and I'm happy she is exploring the world.

Rock hounding in burn areas is so fun! Im sure that was all covered in poison oak and scrubby weedy plants before the fire lol. You found some really nice jasper, looks like quite a few werent heat fractured at all. Those fleas.... never ever seen anything like that outside before. That was totally insane! Ive spent a lot of time out in the woods in Oregon and ive never seen that before!!!

The fire cleared a lot of ground cover. 😁The bug swarm was wild, I'm glad nobody stood on top of them. They almost looked like ash on the ground until I got closer. It was definitely a double take moment.

That's an excellent spot! Looks like a spot Andrew took my lady and I to. Maybe same area. Your little rockhounding buddy looked so excited and like she was having a blast. Awesome she's so into the outdoors. You guys were finding some awesome specimens! Green and purplish one that looked like had bands on it. A really pretty piece of what you thought may be carnelian. And all those gorgeous red jaspers with golden yellow hues, perfect fall rocks! Nice video, Mike!

I bet this was where Andrew took you two. It's known for having lots of good material. Although the mountain is a little steep it worked out alright for my little one. When she gets bigger, we will go further up the hill where there is lots of chalcedony and petrified wood. It will be interesting to see how well they cut and polish . ✌😁
