The traffic is unbearable.

It can be really bad, especially on 35 during travel times, but most of my clients who move there don't have major issues with it on a day to day basis. Are you commuting to Austin in the morning?

The housing affordability here in Kyle/Buda coincides with some of the worst roads, worst traffic, increasing crime rate, decreasing quality education... and, basically, it's not much cheaper than Austin, per square footage rates of the outer areas of Austin! Please STOP moving to Kyle! I moved here from my hometown of Austin in 2000 to get away from the increasing population and increasing property market values (and property taxes). The population of Kyle back then was about 6000. Now, Kyle has grown OUT OF CONTROL to a population of about 60000... and still growing! Please, please, please... MOVE AWAY FROM THE AUSTIN AREA!!! You will be much happier elsewhere!!! I hate these promotional videos for this area. The rate is growth is RUINING this entire area of Texas!!!

Really good points on the roads and the uptick in crime, I appreciate that. That's why I do these videos, to lay out for people what they can expect. You might be surprised to know that these videos prevent quite a few people from moving to certain areas because they recognize living there won't get them what they want. Now, much like you in 2000, the reason people continue to move to Kyle and Buda is because affordability is a little bit better and the quality of life is better than somewhere like Austin. At some point in the future though, that area will continue to grow to the point where people will then bypass it looking for the next thing further out. It's already happening in Lockhart and Bastrop urban sprawl for the sake of better affordability and a slower pace of life. Sounds like Kyle has treated you very well for 24 years, hopefully that continues to be the case! -Chris

@livinginaustintx I'm actually looking to move away. The only thing holding me here is that my mother, daughter, and grandson still live in Austin. My older son went off to school in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I totally fell in love with that town! Just don't know if I'd love the winters there. My younger son is planning to move to Eastern US after he graduates. I'll probably look for another town somewhere like Kyle and Buda USED to be. I'm really unhappy with the caliber of people in central texas, overall. So many west coast and east coast transplants... as well as an influx of south of the border immigrants. I appreciate diversity, but this is too extreme!! The hometown feel of my hometown is forever gone, so I'm ready to find it elsewhere.

@trinablansitt5150 I completely get that! I don't know if I could do Michigan either, I've got friends up there and it looks really cold right now 🤣 There are a lot of people currently moving to Tennessee, especially the area around Knoxville. I visited there recently and it's really really nice and I loved the people. I grew up in a small town in Texas and I felt very at home there. Regardless of what you do, best of luck and, if you ever need anybody to work with to sell your house here, let me know -Chris

I moved to Kyle the same as you! It had one family owned grocery store and there was absolutely nothing on the east side of IH35! I live in Buda now and it’s a bit less crowded Kyle.

@@gayewalkerrosser1001 Very few people remember when east of 35 was nothing but farms. Times have changed, but those were definitely the good old days! -Chris

Please stop sending people to Kyle!!!

🤣🤣🤣 Sorry, it's a pretty cool place to live. But, I completely understand the sentiment and I promise you, the people who have been my clients in Kyle and Buda make great neighbors and friends! -Chris

Best place to live in/around Austin? Anywhere far away. It has become a liberal 💩hole city. Same for Houston, and DFW.

There might be a reason I focus on the suburbs in this series. 😎🍻 Thanks for watching! -Chris
