Kind of surprised Russia didn't make the list. I would assume most Trumpers would prefer a country where people speak English, doesn't have public healthcare, and is exclusively Christian.

Well for one, everyone is entitled to healthcare, so we actually are for public healthcare. And for 2, exclusively Christian is the way to go. See what turning away from God has gotten us in America?

Fake news. The official language in Russia is… Russian. And yes, every Russian citizen and resident receives free public healthcare under the Russian healthcare system via Obligatory Medical Insurance (OMI). Also, Trumpers don’t like Russia’s war on Ukraine, the censorship and lack of free speech. Russia is a total shithole.
@Brent23317 минут бұрын
@@crwnofenlightenmentthere are many countries you could emigrate to, why not Hungary? The United States is NOT a Christian nation. The United States was founded on the separation of State and Church. Sure, there are many Christians in the United States who are freely permitted to worship their faith (not mandated). Many other religions are also practiced in the United States. As well as a large number of atheists and agnostics. Diversity of people and opinions is what makes our country strong. 🇺🇸

Two of the countries which Trump supporters (MAGA) praise and extol most are Russia and Hungary, and I’m a bit surprised they received no mention in this video, though perhaps your criteria went beyond just the nature of the government and the extent to which it practices autocracy. It’s interesting that you mention Nicaragua. I remember how the conservative Republicans in the 1980s opposed the Sandinista movement there just as they opposed the Soviet government. That was at a time when both Democrats and Republicans stood united against despots abroad. But this has since turned upside-down, and now Republicans embrace autocratic leaders (such as Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Türkiye). Poland’s government has become somewhat less hard-right (in political terms), but I can still see how it has made your list. If it were three years ago, I might have added Brazil to the list because its former head of state praised Donald Trump. But Brazil has since moderated its government. Argentina has elected a libertarian as its president, so even though the culture and lifestyle of Argentinians is not reputed to be very conservative, its government has taken a rightward turn. It’s interesting that you put the UAE on the list. So much of MAGA is composed of people who now favor a Christian fundamentalist theocracy (including the teaching of the Bible in pubic schools), that it would be poetic justice for them to move to an Islamic country like the UAE. When I look at the two lists of countries side-by-side - the one you recommend if Trump wins and the one you recommend if Harris wins - for me there is no comparison in terms of the social justice, liberty, human rights, culture, arts, environment, economy, health care, transportation, infrastructure, etc. I will take Costa Rica, Norway, Sweden, and New Zealand over Nicaragua, and Türkiye any day! Incidentally, there was a time when I would have added the Netherlands to the list of places of refuge for Harris supporters, but it has taken a somewhat rightward turn (though I think this is temporary). I also think Ireland and Uruguay (and perhaps Denmark) have much to recommend them for Harris supporters. Thank you for these videos! -Jeff

Yes, it’s political, but it’s not partisan. This video (and its companion) focus on the supporters of both major candidates for U.S. president. Ms Wilson recognizes that an increasing number of people cite politics as their main impetus for moving abroad. So she is not being coy here. She is not pretending that this has nothing to do with politics. To the contrary, political motives are the whole point of these two most recent videos, and Kristin makes this clear herself. Now does Kristin have her own personal political views? Of course - just as we all do. But she is not introducing them in these videos. That’s why it’s non-partisan.

A well put together counter video that created the balance needed. It would be nice if politicians created situations back home where people can live the lives they want even if a majority wants to dictate. If Socialists want higher taxes they should pay them and allow those that don't want to be part of it to opt out.
