Really glad to see The Redeemer and The Brotherhood on here, they're borderline forgotten at this point. Rucka writing Wolverine as a PI working a missing person's case in Brotherhood was so smart, and Robertson's art is so brutal.

I’d say Uncanny X-Men 162 is a good introduction too, it’s the first time we see Wolverine’s narrative voice, almost like a pulp:/noir first person narrator style as his healing factor fights against the brood egg that has been implanted within him and struggles with whether or not to tell his teammates they are infected with brood eggs.

Oh! And “Insane in the Brain” (Wolverine: Weapon X #6 to 9)! Such a disturbing, creepy story. Reminded me of the ‘Saw’ movies. Not necessarily the best Wolverine story, but it stuck with me cuz of how disturbing it was. Yeesh!

The 4 issue mini series by Claremont and Miller was left out from the first Epic Collection, but we can find nice paperbacks including the Deluxe Edition. Do you think that the Weapon X will be included in the Epic Collection number 4? Or will be left out because of the many editions that's out there?

Two other actors who could have played Wolverine in various moments in his life would be Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson. Mel especially during lethal weapon, but Clint definitely as wolverines typical age but also old man Logan. Grand Torino was basically if Logan wasn’t a mutant. 😂

@@NearMintCondition Alternate reality is a consept i don’t like. I don’t like reboots either, but i prefer reboots if i have to choose from these two. Alternate reality would be good choice if they would forget the heroes who are capable travel between the realities. Then it would be almost the same concept as reboot. I understand why you were speaking about the realities and I wasnt thinking closong the video because what you were saying but for the reason of Marvel universe 😂

I’m sorry but wolverine will never be an avenger in my head canon. I would’ve included all new wolverine. I know it’s not Logan but it’s still wolverine. Maybe blood debt
@streetfighteralpha98913 жыл бұрын
Only the original Wolverine is Wolverine. The “all new” thing is just forced diversity. It’s appropriation of successful white male superheroes and turning them female or brown or both.
@nelsoncarvalho63383 жыл бұрын
@@streetfighteralpha9891 your wrong but that’s ok. I’m sure you were ok with Eric masterson as Thor, or Grayson as Batman or Bucky as cap, or Jason, Tim or Damian or Wally
@NearMintCondition3 жыл бұрын
Respectfully disagree. Forced diversity is exactly the same thing they said about Giant Size 1. A black woman, a Native American, a Japanese man.. a blue…. Demon? I love All New Wolverine. DC has been doing legacy characters for decades. Hell, there were four doods named Flash one year. And Marvel did the same with Monica when she became Captain Marvel.
@streetfighteralpha98913 жыл бұрын
@@NearMintCondition If they have their own original character including alter ego/super hero name then diversity isn’t an issue. Even then, when they have at least one of every possible race on a single small team it becomes obvious that they are checking boxes such as the Eternals movie. At this point every single character seems to have a female version and it’s not creative or original. It doesn’t help that the writers’ idea of empowering the females is by degrading the males around them.
@streetfighteralpha98913 жыл бұрын
@@nelsoncarvalho6338 An opinion can’t be wrong. It’s my opinion that it feels forced. It’s a fact that they are giving black, brown, Asian, and female characters the super hero names made famous by white male characters. And since those original characters already had fans it feels forced like they don’t think they could be successful on their own, building their own fans as a truly new character. But yes, I would prefer even the names you listed to have their own super hero name such as Nightwing. I never cared for Thor having a human alter ego at all. Alternate reality or a female version once or twice would have been fine, but almost every single character has this treatment. It’s just ridiculous at this point. It used to be done because it sold when it was a new thing, but now they do it even though most don’t want it as shown by comic sales. They do it because there is an agenda.
