God spoke to me in 85 to set me on his path to raise my children as a single parent father. The second time I was a thousand miles away from home when he told me a woman in my family was going to die. He made me go home . I was away from home for a year and I thought it was going to be my grandmother. I was wrong and I didn’t listen to him at the time. Working in the shop helping one of the other tech removing an exhaust when a gas line burst and caught me on fire. My wife called my old landlord and he told me that he never rented it out because it was me. We went home like we never left. Two months later my mom passed away. God is real and I wish I had the time to share my whole life because it has been so cool

I've always said that as a Christian I live a completely fulfilling, happy, and joyful life. When I go I know that I have truly lived and if I'm right, then I get eternity with my savior as a reward. If I am wrong, then I won't know it cause i'll be dead. If I was an athiest, I live a life that is for the most part meaningless. When I die if i'm right I won't know it, but if I am wrong....well then i'll have eternity to regret it. So who is taking the greater risk? The answer is very clear.

I needed this, but for very different reasons. I have a past of disordered eating, and I tend to have a very rigid mindset of how much to exercise, how much to eat, how much to do in a day to be, on paper, considered "healthy" and I don't do well giving myself the grace I should because I get trapped in my own mind of working until I drop in the name of "physically healthy". This song, and this reaction remind me that it's just as necessary to be gentle with yourself and to take time to focus on spiritual health and mental health because we don't know when our life on Earth will end, and we have more to be than just a physically healthy person. It seems as if I'm encouraging unhealthy living even as I type this, but really, it's more about remembering and finding ways to balance myself and remember to find peace in God.

I remember passing a church sign that said "life is short, eternity is long., where will you spend it" I turned around and went back to the church. Went in asked for the pastor. I said "sir your sign is incorrect. Fake news. An untruth. A lie. " He said "excuse me who are you.?" I said "I'm the man thats here to inform you that life is not short, it's the longest thing you'll ever do. Eternity is not long, eternity has no beginning and no end. We are in fact in eternity now. " To say that this went over well would be an understatement. I was asked quite nicely but sternly to leave the premises. lol
