I really love listening to this kind of genre. The first time i listened to this. i thought it was just a song from a popular artists. I am not a fan of listening worship songs before. And months after i watched some video relating to this. And then, when i scrolled for comments. I was so shocked bc it's a Christian song! It is ridiculously beautiful how High I am on Christ. As a pasted drug addicted I can honestly say I have found no stronger intoxication than Jesus' love. It shook me to the core, He never let go, my hunger for Him never has faded away. I'm currently on fire, but I think the metaphor really means I am "radiating His light." Everyday I meet Christians and have amazing conversations about his impact. So fortunate for his everlasting healing he gave me.

I've seen a lot of questions on what the meaning of the music video could mean. I think that the bible with a mirror in it which the girl is reading symbolizes that when we read the word of God, we see a reflection of who we are. Also that same mirror reflects a bright light which we are the light of the world! When we have a revelation of who we are in Christ, we can shine bright :)

Why look for symbols in the video. This video shouldn't define the songs meaning; the lyrics do along with the author's explanation lol. +Noah carter Wow man, watched the first 10 seconds of We Cant Stop, had to stop, came back and watched this again, got goosebumps. I think withing the visual language that this demographic communicates with (not my demographic haha) the imagery is very powerful and a counter-argument to what is being advertised by the likes of Miley Cyrus. Even though it's a bit vague, art has the power to speak to us through the back door of our imagination, and I think the film team was Spirit-led on this one (even if I don't completely get it). Definitely resonated with my somehow. Just throwing some examples out there, the peace and soundness of mind the characters portrayed by the characters compared to other music videos in this style, juxtaposing a broken-up racetrack in red with a straight one in green, finding the reflection of light in the Bible, are some things that stood out to me.

This mentality is the reason I believe Christian music does not progress. Hillsongs has done a phenomenal job pushing what Christian music should sound like. When God-annointed creative people focus on being led by the spirit rather than copying what artists alike are doing, things get GOOD. I for one love the visual conception of the MV :)) Reminds me of weird 90s films I watch but don't understand because of all the underlying metaphore. There's more to this video than quick shots of pastel, that's for sure. You just gotta keep watching.

The people that misunderstand the video and the song...wow. Not everything has to have a JPM (Jesus per minute) rating on the song and be in your face! We can talk about God's love in a way that is inviting to people who otherwise may just "shut off" at the mention of being invited to church. We, as Christians should be first and foremost known for our love, not for what we are against! I'm doing my best to follow this as well 🙏🏻

Personally, it breaks any preconceptions other's may have of Christians, aka singing only hymns like Amazing Grace in choirs, and that we can have fun too..The style of the music is inviting, because it's as catchy as possibly a Billboard Top 100 single. That may lead to the next step, being that they start listening to the lyrics more, and perhaps even ponder upon it's meaning. This song for me, is as honest and meaningful as something like Amazing Grace, if not, more subtle lyrically. Where You Are sings about wanting to continuously be in His presence, and even mentions in the chorus, that the songwriter has "never knew a love like this before", comparing the love of the world, and God's love that never runs dry. Not sure what you mean by "shouldn't music that promotes the glory of God be different to music that doesn't." Do you mean the video, or the style of music, or the lyrics? :)

I agree with you, it might be an entry way but if your entry into the community of believers is based on a song that doesn't really say anything about God, who he is, what his characteristics are, what he has done for you, what he has created, what his son has done etc then this song isn't really that much different than any other artist making a positive song with a contemporary beat. So telling stories about God through music, praise, thanksgiving, worship and adoration towards God is replaced with an illusion of worship or a watered down version of what will please God. So Sunday service is actually entertainment and not praise&worship and being equipped in the word and having fellowship. That can be pulled through to small group, instead of meeting with a desire to grow in godliness and being accountable its just another meeting of a group of guys that talk nonsense. To me the songs chorus is confusing. As a christian God the Holy Spirit is in us according to the bible and the part of Gods character that is his omnipresence says he is everywhere at all times. Therefore I don't understand the chorus. You mention the lyrics: never knew a love like this before. Where in the song is this love described? I recognise I might be to intense about something that supposed to be a cool song, but Jesus's church is recognised by its fruit. I am part of Gods church and am convinced that true praise and worship is the only acceptable response to a realisation of what God has done for us.

This is my first time I saw the video amd I think it's telling you that God is in your heart alone that you need not look on other things but focus on the love that God has implanted you. 'I just want to be where you are' vibe is like telling us that God is with us and with everyone so we can be with God by being with someone else who follows God because God is in them as well. This song can even be used by satanist to call on satan. 2.the concept of the video has nothing to do with the lyrics. 3.more part of the video shows luminosity, or illuminating of sun, or an eye. 4.there are part of the lyrics that has back door of subliminal messages like "I never been so sure... 1. Our Heavenly Father is not like a human, an ego centric being who wants everything for himself. Like, "go humans and praise me". What that refers is like a parent with a child waking up in the morning to sing, "You are beautiful, mom, most beautiful of all, I will praise you because you made me." God is love, not pride, and definitely not about ego. Remember, He is a God, in fact, He does not need your music when He has the perfect chorale in the heavens with the angels singing to Him everyday. But the question is, why do we sing for Him? It's a manifestation of love as a son who wants to return the favor of love that He has given us. OUR Lord does not look at the arrangement of words, instruments but the heart of the person singing. Because it is all about love. 2. The concept depends upon the person looking, I see the video perfectly expressive for the song. 3. God made the sun so why not use it for His glory? Our eyes were made by God and it reflects one self. 'I just want to be where you are'. God is within us so the eye can also reflect God. Let us say the enemy uses symbols, we are the children of God's so we have more right to His creation than the enemy. 4. If you pull that out of it's context, it may sound wrong but the truth is, it speaks of youth experiencing the world and the love of God at the same time, confused to choose between the two. You're right that He deserves the best. Sticking to this video, my bottom line is, the Lord does not require the best song, the best lyrics but the right attitude and the right heart of Love. Same as my girlfriend, I don't do it for my ex, but regardless of the love song written, I have the perfectly right heart for her.
