Her son (me) was very happy to see her. You have no idea of the family dynamics and the way we interact. Maybe you expected jumping up and down like a fake Kardashian TV show but my mother and I have a very real love and we'll express that however we want.

He might've had stage fright and didn't know how to react plus he just woke up from a nap and wasn't prepared and caught up in the moment. People have different cultures. In the UK for the most part food is bland and other parts of the world food is flavourful. This doesn't mean everybody eats bland food in the UK but that is where majority food palate lie in. Of course in other cultures there would be screaming, some others might burst out crying under their mother's feet. There might be other issues at play. Maybe Adam doesn't want to be decoded and likes to protect his family not being overly sensitive and emotional making him come across like a big softie. He might follow 48 laws of Power. He might not to come over as fake or as a mother's boy to his wife acting tough in front of her not risking friction and her left out. He might've loved his mother through his daughter and is programmed to attend to her needs the past five years which is important for an attentive dad his mother is assured of his love. So many variables.
