We salvaged these old wooden shutters a few months back, and have since been refurbishing them into different areas of our space! It's an ongoing project, and one that isn't quite complete yet, but we will continue working on this in the near future, and share with you the final result soon 🙂

Having had experience with escape artist dogs I have to say that the shutters you have used for the gates will make great ladders for your dogs to climb over. I think you may have wasted your time installing them guys. Would have been better if you used your bathroom door instead as it is a flat surface.

Those big and heavy hinges are actually better than what you get now in the hardwares in sri lanka; so try to fix and reuse em. You do get bearing hinges which are better but not suitable for outdoor use.

I was about to comment that you need to raise the height of the wall to the garden to stop the larger dogs from jumping over it and then you commented that they had been doing that and that you were going to raise it up. Love the half door to the kitchen, it looks great and will keep the dogs out when you are cooking. I've been dog sitting my brothers dog for the last 2 weeks and she has been driving me nuts getting under my feet when I've been cooking as it's all open in my kitchen/dining/living area. I'm constantly scared I will tread on her foot. Think you need solid doors to your kitchen cupboards rather than louvred ones to keep spiders out which was my first thought when you were thinking of using the louvred ones at the beginning of the vlog as I know how much you love spiders. 😅😂
