I had the gen 1’s and personally think that the sound quality on the gen 2 is much better. Also noise cancellation is noticeably better in my opinion

Incorrect on many levels. The noise cancellation is much better, the sound quality is great and the case is a big improvement. I only got the new ones because my old ones broke. I don’t even need to change the volume on them when running the snow blower like I did with the originals

Gen 2s sound cancellation is top tier and is probably saving my hearing. Straight piped LSs are pretty loud at 3k rpm going down the highway for 40 minutes

I disagree. In my opinion I feel the sound quality is much better. I feel the bass on the 2nd gen are comparable to the AirPods Max

The bass is the only thing I noticed after doing side by side comparisons for a few hours. Though, I had to sit there and listen to the same part of the same song about 5 times with each pair of AirPod pros before I would even notice a difference… that to me says the changes are insignificant.

Transparent mode is busted, the conversation boost is something i have never seen in any device ever, it helps with hearing long distances and the sound quality is leagues above definitely a worthy upgrade

Completely disagree. Hearing is completely subjective to each individual and which songs you listen to matter as well. I think the noise cancellation is far superior, with the overall sound being much richer, more round, and deeper than the Gen 1. I completely disagree with your opinion.

I have as well and that’s exactly why I pulled the trigger on trying the 2nd gens out. I literally sat down with both AirPods in front of me and was swapping them back and forth trying to hear differences and they just hardly sound different. The Gen 2’s have a tiny bit more bass, but again, if I have to swap back and forth 3-4 times before I can notice that difference, it’s extremely insignificant. Overall, they’re just not worth the investment if you already own the Gen 1’s in my opinion.
