I also disagree with stereotype regarding panther chameleon temperament, lol. I’ve only ever had one veiled in my life, and he was definitely cage aggressive. Out of his cage was a different story. About half of the panthers I’ve had have been feisty. Gaping, hissing, lunging, all that jazz. You never really know which direction they’ll go in. It’s usually pretty easy not to take a bite, though! Excellent video and love the shirt

My veiled is soooo friendly. My panther is pretty spicy. You never know what you are going to get.

I was bummed when I found out my veiled female would only live about 5 years, she's only 1 year now but I will definitely want another one when she's gone. I was thinking either panther or Jackson's next, I saw Jackson's live longer so considering them (plus cute horns!) but would love a video comparing those two.

Jackson's are definitely more difficult to keep healthy. They have to have a major night time drop in temperature to 60 degrees. They're definitely my favorite chameleon but getting that temperature in summer in the south got very expensive on the electric bills.

@Clydethe2hornedchameleon. ok that's what happened to my boy. I noticed blood on the side of his mouth. Vet said prey bit him. Treated him with saline and neosporin but it came back 2 months later. It turns out he had a temporal gland infection which is a gland only Jackson's have.

It may very too because I purchased my veiled at a pet supermarket store, there they told me the same thing youve said but I asked around.....at PetSmart there guide says they can live up to 10 years

Hi I recently purchased a veiled chameleon and I believe it's about 6months old or so...what should work for the egg lay bowl or container....I think it's a girl and I want to make sure I take good care of her, thanks

i think ill get the base model veiled chameleon and splurge on the enclosure stuff lmao. Also my Gf had a chameleon for 6 years but it died during a power outage that lasted several days in texas back in 2021 we coudlnt keep him warm enough even in the bathroom with the shower on so i got a generator for this time around just in case. Never heard of anybody else having this problem but better safe than sorry if you have power outages

Очень жаль, что не получилось согреть😢. У нас была похожая ситуация, муж двое суток грел хамелеона под своей курткой, хамелеону было всего три месяца тогда, совсем малыш. Согревал своим телом. Двое суток без тепла, еды и воды…Наш малыш выжил и прожил после этого более 6 лет.
