Never been to St. Lucia. I wanted to go to Sandals, but they had no running water at the time. Instead, we went to Antigua. We went to the Sandal resort. We were not disappointed. The people and the Island was BEAUTIFUL!.

english is their official language due to being an ex british colony. However before the britsh the french ruled, and today most people speak a french based creole language. English is really used in official situations like government, schooling and media; but everyday speech you only hear creole. They will understand english but speaking it unless you're in the tourist areas they will speak english a little slower.
