For me it's Indian music. The origin of Indian classical music dates back to ancient Vedic times. The reason is... Indian music doesn't cater to worldwide needs like putting some english lyrics etc... sadly, only good music is not enough to make it a worldwide sensation

@@LilacPeony3088 i agree to some extent but i still think only subtitles won't help... just take kpop for eg, it wouldn't be so famous today if they didn't americanize the music and use frequent english sentencing for worldwide understanding... they cracked down what's required to make it a worldwide sensation, Indian music need something similar to create a separate genre which can appeal internationally

I think according to me...still a lot hard work needs to be done to reach the level of Indian music... especially in classical music..... As a student pursuing Hindustani Classical Music Vocal as my graduation subject,I feel how subtle details needs to be followed while performing in classical music... especially Indian people would know there are many Raagas in our genre....and a slight mistake in performing a raaga can change the whole raaga... especially if the notes of similar raagas are sung differently than they should be....and this applies for Carnatic Classical Music too... Apart from this,we also have Folk music from different states as Yukta mentioned Rabindra Sangeet,Nazrul Geeti from my state,West Bengal and also pop,rap.......so there is diversity not only in our culture but in everything.... Therefore its really difficult to beat Indian music hands down....

Bollywood songs are quite famous though. T-series is an Indian music label company. If you want to experience music journey of your lifetime then I would suggest watching 'Rockstar' and 'Qala'

Indian music is famous all over the world...that includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, sri lanka... China (through Indian films) , middle east...Africa, Canada... It might not include some western countries but that covers most of the population of the world.
