Huh, wouldn't have expected magic to be the least common one. From a level design standpoint, "magic stuff" can fit just about anywhere, so one would think the element would be more common. I guess this very specific knowledge about a Skylanders game lives in my brain now. Thanks! (I think?)

I feel that earth was more used because you get the first collection of earth soul gems before you even get the first magic gem. Also you can get through that life gate in one go if you are very careful and you use at least one exploit and that red dragon's name is Flavious. Also I hear that in the 3ds version you do fight Vathek ore at least he douse put up a fight.
