Are there any substitutions for Neroli in this recipe? It is so expensive! Thanks for the great online training and youtube videos you do!
@aromatherapyoils5 жыл бұрын
S DUGAN, yep Neroli is expensive because it takes so much plant material - in this case hand picked delicate flowers that is time sensitive - in order to get precious drops of oil out of them. As an alternative you could use Neroli/Petitgrain Co-Distill (Citrus aurantium var amara) as it is more affordable. The co distill is simply a combination of the leaves of the bitter orange tree with the flowers rather than just the flowers (neroli). It has a more herbaceous aroma, and is very effective. Here's a link for more information: www.aromatics.com/products/neroli-petitgrain-essential-oil

Hi Terry! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying the information we share. 💞 For the Floral Ease Inhaler, you could substitute Bergamot with any of your favorite citrus oils. Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) would be a nice choice. For the So Over Stress recipe, Sandalwood (Santalum album) would be a lovely substitute. One really great way to decide with confidence what oils work as good substitutions is to learn applied essential oil chemistry. We have a free webinar where Aromahead’s founder, Andrea Butje, will walk you through essential oil chemistry concepts that you can apply to any blends you’re making! When you have an in-depth knowledge of essential oils, including their chemical compositions and therapeutic properties, understanding which oils make good substitutions will come more easily to you! @@kirstymacfarlane1620 oils can be so uplifting during moments like you experience. I am sorry you are going through this. It is especially helpful to use oils that deeply resonate with you. The more the aroma is enjoyed and the more you feel a connection with the oil (like you are experiencing with Marjoram and Rose Geranium), the more supportive it will be. Beautiful floral aromas oils are so supportive, inspiring peace and harmony on emotional, mental, and physical levels. The Floral Ease Inhaler would be a wonderful option to try. If you feel a deep connection to other florals like Rose Geranium more so than the Neroli or Ylang Ylang, you can experiment and substitute other florals. Vanilla is an aroma the resonates with many. You could try apply a supportive blend along the back of next hairline, and on pulse points on the wrist. The blend can be reapplied throughout the day as needed. Here's a post from the Aromahead Blog with some ides. You could use Rose Geranium in place of both Rose and Geranium found in these blends: blog.aromahead.com/2017/04/24/make-sandalwood-rose-essential-oil-perfume-nl Keep us posted on how that goes!

The cedarwood oil in the bottle shown in your video is Cedrus atlantica, but you write, both in the description box and in the video, that it is Juniperus virginiana. What's up with that? They're different oils.
@aromatherapyoils5 жыл бұрын
Hi grylille! There are a few cedar trees that are commonly used to produce essential oils. Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana) belongs to the Cupressaceae plant family. Atlas Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica) and Indian Cedarwood (Cedrus deodara) belong to the Pinaceae family. They are all grounding and calming, and any of these oils can be used for an inhaler.
@grylille5 жыл бұрын
@@aromatherapyoils I get that they're all grounding and calming, but I don't understand why you didn't write "Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica)" in the description box when that seems to be the one you actually used for this video, and then just mention that there are several oils called Cedarwood that have fairly similar characteristics and can be used for many of the same purposes (although, personally, I much prefer C. atlantica when an oil blend calls for cedarwood).

@aromatherapyoils5 жыл бұрын
leen ferns with asthma we have to approach essential oils with care. Sometimes the oils can be really helpful and open up the breathing, other times they can feel constrictive - each person may respond differently. The best approach is to begin slowly with essential oils. Smell the oil cap and see how your lungs feel, if they feel open and relaxed then that oil would be a good one to try. If you feel tight and constricted, I would avoid that oil. Cedarwood tends to be gentle for people with asthma, and sometimes Lavender. Both diffusing and inhaler can be beneficial.
@kimfromnewzealand87685 жыл бұрын
Do you know what causes your Urticaria? I've had Urticaria since my early 20s. I had 150 skin pick tests. I reacted to every one of them. My body can't distinguish between foreign bodies and my own tissue, therefore sending out Histamine all the time. Urticaria is easier to deal with if you know what the antagonist is? Hopefully I can help you :-)

Can I use lavender for anxiety and panic attacks?
@aromatherapyoils Жыл бұрын
For anxiety and stress, we would look for emotional support more than anything. Diffusing oils or using inhalers can be helpful. We suggest oils that resonate with the person struggling with anxiety. The more they like the aroma, the more supportive it will be. Some classic oils that come to mind are Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), and Orange (Citrus sinensis). Flower oils such as Neroli (Citrus aurantium var. amara) and Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) can be soothing, too. Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides) is very grounding and calming. 💗 We have another KZbin video we think you’ll enjoy: How to Use Essential Oils to Relieve Anxiety: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6Wkp2uHgrJ1bq8 If you want to learn more about using essential oils for anxiety, you can register for this video class: www.aromahead.com/courses/anxiety-relief-essential-oils
