Err on the side of caution. This is my first grow with Fox Farms. Amazing stuff! I had to cut back because the grow big made my small plants explode!! I use 1/2 of the recommended dose. Will work up to more but that is a lot of nutrients to put in one gallon. I out grew my grow room and I had to build a bigger flower room. My first try without Fox Farms, my plants grew but, they were really tiny. Like small bonsai trees. Five months and they were twelve inches tall. So from them, I thought I had plenty of room. Then I bought some cloth pots, FF soil and FF nutrients and everything literally exploded. They were 12 inches in one month. Now they are about 4 feet. I have a small jungle growing in my house and barely enough lights. I need more lights. Had to put everything I could in the flower room after two months. Ridiculous. Well, next time I'll know.

The thing is that its really necessary to adjust your nutrients by how your plants are doing, your light and your environment plays a big part in that...you basically use the schedule but adjust your nutrient levels by plant performance and adjust your ppm accordingly and with foxfarm you are going to have to ph your water after you add your nutrients because the tiger bloom and any of the soluble nutrients they have are going to make your water acidic, very acidic if your tap water is neutral (7.0) like mine

I have 12 week old durban poison clones i have them in 3 gallon pots using fox farm coco Loco soil using fox farm grow big when i water every 3-4 days it includes feeding so when i water feed is mixed with my watering. When doing this am i feeding to much and i should rotate my feeding watering to water one time and feed the next they are still in veg at 12 weeks olg because im keeping them in that veg stage because im treating a mite problem right before i was going to flip them in to flowering i noticed mites so im keeping them in veg until i get rid of problem i hope it doesnt hurt my plant by keeping them in veg a little longer how can it hurt a plant by keeping it in veg to long. Hey i'm looking at using these three products plus beastie boomz and cha ching i read through some comments and got a couple answers to some questions such as how much do i give each plant i'm understanding mix the correct amount per gallon of water and poor until the soil stops absorbing and starts a run off. So if one plant takes a lot more water then the next i wont hurt it with more nutrients because its distributing through the soil evenly as long as i stop at the run off? whether it takes 10seconds of water or 20 just means it went deeper but still balanced throughout? lets say i had 50 plants to water with 20 gallon wholes could you give me an idea on the amount of nutes i would need for a 12-14week season outdoor and what my ratios would be in a tank of that size? Would be a huge help thanks
@PerfectGardensTV
@PerfectGardensTV 9 жыл бұрын
matt12345554321 Your plants are gonna tell u whether you're overfeeding or not. I would always recommend to start with less and slowly increase, and just look at the plant. If the plant is sticking out and it’s looking beautiful and it’sa nice screen then leave it alone. If it’s all wilty and scraggly and up then there’s something wrong so change a bit. Normally less is more. So I would always recommend anything less than nutrients & a little more water than anything else. And don’t over saturate. Plants aren't swimming. They’re grasp up to the soil and soil is saturated, it’s not pulling up. Give it even flow of water and you should be good.

Perfect Gardens Ok im confused, so it says start with 6 tsp of big bloom per gallon at the seedling stage, then when we get to the 2nd week it says 2 tsp of grow big, then the 3rd week it shows 3tsp of grow big. So are we using the same gallon weeks 1-4? And just adding 2 tsp of grow big to the same gallon the 2nd week? Then one more tsp of grow big the 3rd week? Please explain.

@PerfectGardensTV
@PerfectGardensTV 9 жыл бұрын
Lazaro Otano Yes, that is very good. Look at the plant always if the plant is still beautiful and green. Most important thing is PH set your water & make sure PH is set correctly because that’s really what’s going to make nutrients available on the soil. If you make nutrients available on the soil faster, it might take less time. And if it's not available, it might take time and you can hold off. Please refer to this link for a PH meter we recommend. www.perfectgardens.com/hydroponics/ph-meters-testers/hm-digital-ph-meter/?page_context=search&faceted_search=0

How do I mix nutrition for hydroponics "bubble system " 30 gallon tub.
@PerfectGardensTV
@PerfectGardensTV 9 жыл бұрын
Jack Tripper We recommend you to have a PH meter kit. There’s a lot of more expensive PH meter in the market but this $54.43 is just fine, www.perfectgardens.com/hydroponics/ph-meters-testers/hm-digital-ph-meter/?page_context=search&faceted_search=0. We also recommend that you add some nutrients in the water first to reduce some nutrients by half. It’s very important to PH the water and adjust from there. It is important to monitor the plants and the plant will tell you if their sick, too much fertilizer, etc. Just look at the plants, see them on daily basis and acknowledge what they need. Just go through the feeding schedule. Feed their nutrients. It’s important to keep the water clean. If the water stays clean, you don’t need to throw your water out. Just keep the water clean and moving and the plants healthy. If water looks dirty, nasty or something going on with the water- it smells, then definitely replace the water & clean out your entire system.They recommend the sledgehammer flush. Whenever the flush happens, you’re basically going to take all your nutrients and throw it away. But we recommend not to throw it away but rather go out to your garden and use these nutrients as there’s still nutrients there. The problem with this we’re going hydroponically is that salt build up. That’s why they recommend the flushes. So if you ever reduce your nutrients, just keep your PH set. You might not have salt build up which would allow you to keep going further. As you go into flowering in transitioning from veg, they show you weeks 1-2-3-4 they’re recommending you those products. But week 5, they use this tiger bloom and the reason is because that starts using prosperous & potassium which are for more root & flower development. From there, your nutrients will slightly shift. And again, just wanna follow their feeding schedule, use tsp., don’t use too much & look at the plant.

Per Fox Farms if using nothing but Coco + Perlite (no nutes in soil) then you use the hydroponic schedule as well as the hydroponic version of grow big.

Do you need to use their product 2 flush it? Or can u do that with just water?

The flushing products dissolve salt buildup that doesn’t flush out with waterings. You don’t have to use them, but I suggest doing so during the last week of your final flush.

Seems like a lot. I get the open sesame. Loaded with phosphorus. Great for making thick buds. I'm confused on why you need all those nutrients.

If all you use is Open sesame for your plant while flowering and nothing else I can see that working. Open Sesame will go a long way for it's concentration. Also if you are not packing your soil with nutrients the open sesame alone shouldn't be to much for your microbials to stiff function Mark

I feel like they are just getting you to over feed your plants only to flush it all out the bottom, and then re add it directly after. Great way to sell nutrients but not great for a grower on a budget. Look at what your plants need and feed them from there. This Guides seems like a way to drain your pocket

I always use less than what's recommended.. Except for the big bloom fertilizer.. That's totally organic & wont hurt even if you overfeed. With the others , i use one TSP less than what it says... I do weekly feedings & add nutrients 2 the water but you do need to run a flush with pure water every other feeding.

@@stepow7183 I like 5 gallon containers.. Anything big enough for your plant to grow a decent root system.. If it's a 5gal, I'll typically fill it with 4 gal of water to leave a little space.. I let my roots grow down into the water instead of leaving them 100% submerged... 3 gallons of the water will have a dose of nutrients then the last gallon is just pure water.. The Big Bloom is the only one i do heavy dosing with.. Because that one wont kill your plant

Hey Anthony, Flushing meaning to remove excess salt s in your soil. How you do that is by using ph, RO water or a kelp extract, ot a flushing agent like sledge hammer. @PerfectGardensTV
@PerfectGardensTV 10 жыл бұрын
correct 3-4 weeks usually without need for any of their fertilizers. You can start the fertilizer instructions on the week you start which would be week 4-5. So if you were still vegging just use the last vegging column (18 hrs). If flowering start with that flowering column.

Perfect Gardens I'm so glad he asked this because I am in this boat right now... I messed up the math on my grow, I had originally intended on an approx. 90 day cycle, 3 months in the soil, seed to harvest, but this is my first grow and made mistakes. So, let me explain what happened before I give my question. I started my seedlings in cups and transplanted into FFOF after 2 weeks, it took another 2 weeks for them to get into the veg stage, so a whole month of seedling stage. So that right there added 2 weeks of the plant being in the soil, now they will be in there 3 months and 2 weeks. I hadn't started feeding yet because the soil was taking care of that and now that I have done my 30 day flush and am at the point of the beginning of the feeding schedule, my plants are too big to let GROW for another 2 weeks to a month in veg before I flip. So my question is, can I flip now, even though I have NOT really given it any Grow Big as per the feeding schedule and go straight from like 1 feeding of Grow Big and Big Bloom, the next week flip the lights and go to the flowering feeding schedule? Will the plants lose anything in quality or quantity if I don't follow the schedule exactly??? I hope this question makes sense, I have a hard time explaining through typed text...

Every plant has a different need for every part of their growing cycle. Giving them the necessary nutrients at those different stages will maximize whatever it is that you wish to achieve. Using one single fertilizer throughout its life won't hurt it (unless that specific ratio is not appropriate for that plant) but you also won't see the plant's full potential either. If you can, follow the feeding schedule on Fox Farm's website. If buying multiple fertilizers isn't something you can or want to do, and if you don't mind an ok plant, you can use one product so long as you tweak the strength and consistency. Unfortunately, that does take some experience or a bit of research if you want to do it correctly. Best of luck! ☺

That is correct. If you use the correct products with the correct equipment, and the correct schedule, you should be able to create a near perfect environment in which your plant will thrive and yield you whatever it is that you want to achieve. It does take research, practice and ultimately, skill to grow correctly, beautifully and abundantly. It's possible! Don't give up. ☺

Dennis, That's because on their schedule. They are only keeping the plants in the veg stage for 4 weeks. Then the flowering stage for 8 weeks. Now you don't have to use that schedule. You can veg as long as you want. But you will get less grows per year. With FF schedule you will get 3 grows in a year.
