I really only see these heaters on UK builds... they do sell them in the US, and glad I was able to find one. Makes traveling wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more comfortable!

Thank you for checking it out!! A wise man once told me... "If you want to know if someone is paying attention to your vlog, corrupt it. Say something wrong, misspell something, if they call you out on it, then they were paying attention." Thank you for paying attention, and sorry for the misteak! :)

Great video again Al! I was happy to see a new one, I was worried about you, since you didn’t issue a new one for a long time. I installed the same heater in the travel trailer I built and it works fine, I had problem to find the proper adapter from British to flare propane tubing fittings. I didn’t see if you installed a muffler on the exhaust of the heater and an air intake silencer. I am glad you plan to install CO2 and propane detectors. If I may suggest: your propane tanks should be stored in a locker with a door equipped with a gasket and latches, also there should be a drain through the floor of the locker to allow propane to escape in case of a leak. Cheers from cold Canada!

Hello Raynald! Good to hear from you! Haven't installed a muffler, not sure if I really needed one, it runs very quiet. I would like to get the intake silencer though, that would be useful. Appreciate the tip on enclosing the propane tanks... on my list of to-do's once I figure out how I want to make it. Will most likely have a fab shop make one to my design and go with it. Will have a thru hull fitting for the floor at some point as well. Stay warm sir! al

When we had our truck camper we used one of those small electric heaters. We had snow while at the Grand Canyon and that little guy kept us nice and warm. We were in one of the campgrounds with electric so it wasn’t a burden on our electrical. Every heat source is gonna have safety concerns.

True that! I do carry my electric heater with me and use it when I have full hookup (saves on propane!) Thank you for watching! Much appreciated!

@@OregonBatman I’ve been trying to convince my wife into a van for years. She was watching this video with me and is now interested in shopping around. We started watching your van series from the beginning. I’m not sure where this will end up but thanks for the videos and provocation.

Nice video but I just used jarred candles to heat my van. Took chill off, blew out at bedtime, relight in morning for an hour. Kept/took chill away, even in snowy weather. Building cold resistance is a good thing....

Cold resistance is just something I do not have!! :)

Nice installation, but a bit pricey! then again nothing is cheap anymore. I sold my teardrop so I'm looking for a small older 12'- 14' retro trailer for my next project. Was curious if you ever towed the teardrop with the van?
@OregonBatman Жыл бұрын
Hey Ernie! Yes sir... pricey, but compared to the $44K I paid for the van, drop in the bucket! :) I have towed the teardrop with the van but a little hairy... can't see it behind me at all. I have to turn on rear view camera just to see if it's still there!

An electric heater would require something on the order of a small nuclear reactor if used for any extended duration.
