We love Flashpoint at our club. I've only ever played Pandemic once and can't really remember too much. I know I enjoyed it though, but I probably couldn't compare them.

Never played flashpoint..and I've had my fill of never winning bloody pandemic...but the right game won if only for the impact it has had on the whole boardgame scene,great vid boys....

I like both games but for me I give the edge to Pandemic. And I am a gamer who prefers Pandemic to Pandemic Legacy. At least with regular pandemic you have a great deal of replay value, the same is not true of Legacy and for me the lack of actual game time doesn't constitute investing in.

Ronnie Bradley I suspect I've not actually played as many games of core Pandemic as the 18 games of Legacy I got out of Season 1, but then I am chasing "cult of the new" most of the time. Older games don't get played nearly enough. Part of what's fun about doing some of these videos!

Speaking of cult of the new, you could look at Majesty: For The Realm or Vienna, both fun little games.

Vienna is a nice, quick worker placement game using dice. Simple to teach and easy to play but with just enough strategic depth to make it interesting to hobby gamers. I'd call it a very good gate way game for worker placement style games.

Flash Point was always too fiddly for me. Pandemic on the other hand is smooth, elegant and still fun to play, even after countless games. It's still the best gateway game in my book, and also one of the best-balanced, as I often won or lost a game on the very last available turn or even action. I disagree on the comment that vanilla Pandemic would become boring after a while, in fact, that's the way I played and enjoyed it in all my (~50+) games. Anyway, I would have liked to see Flash Point compete against Police Precinct. :) Still, great video ! PS: Check the spelling of the game's name in your video's title. ;D
