This actually might be the best video for both softwares - thanks for making it! I'm still comparing both demos. The only thing I have against Anthology is that the pedal noise is not adjustable at all. Hoping maybe they add that, because surely it's not a ton of effort to do so. Didn't think to check cpu usage - will take a look on my laptop to see how it's faring!

Thanks for checking out the video. There are free demos of each I should’ve mentioned for a further comparison/ analysis of the two virtual instrument packages. That’s a great observation of the pedal noise. Yeah I don’t see a way to disable that. Maybe you can’t because of everything being sampled but I’d assume the pedal noise was a separate sample.

I wanted the V8, but it didn’t install properly on my iMac Pro. Now I‘m satisfied with the Anthology.

Im stuck in between the anthology and V8 (its like $70 atm, but im using a laptop) but i want the Anthology for the different sounds. Idk if i should wait it out or just get what i can, i just want a rhodes fr 😭

You still get a lot of sounds out of the V8 and it’s a mix of samples and being modeled. The anthology is limited but still great and I’ve used it a lot. Let me know if there is a video I can do that would help make your decision easier.

Super video, thank you for comparing so detailed! I've one question ... what do you think, how is the Rhodes Anthology compared to Keyscape (if you have keyscape 🤔)

I’ve never used keyscape! Can’t go wrong with buying from the original source though. Anyone want to chime in whose had both?

So how is the "modeled" V8 with 1 instrument is 20Gb in size, and the sampled Anthology with 4 instruments only 3Gb? True modeling should take up WAAAY less space, like the Vtines library. This makes no sense. Even the official site says: The V8 is a "deeply multi-sampled and modelled, hyper-realistic version of the Rhodes MK8"

It’s because it’s both sampled and modeled with a lot of details. I read there are up to 30,000 samples. It’s just beefy in features.
