Amazing channel and your videos are SO ADDICTIVE!!!! I was surprised to see Beedril in the @#$%^ tier... it has the only decent Bug type moves in the game, fairly fast and really good in the Psychic and Poison gyms (except a few exceptions) and even the Elite 4! Gyarados was also a powerhouse just by using Bite alone in most places and trivialized my game as soon as it evolved in lvl 20. If only it had something remotely similar to a STAB move, would have been even better and Hydro Pump was too unreliable to be good!

I think you’re pretty damn spot on with most of this list, actually! I don’t feel Persian belongs so high or Voltorb so low, and some of the other low ones are actually pretty good, but that’s really all I can think of wrong with it. Good job.

My favourite Gen 1 Pokémon is Vaporeon, but if we're talking about usage, then it's Starmie. Starmie is probably the Pokémon I love using the most, stab Surf (or Scald in later gens) and Psychic + some good old BoltBeam coverage, also with extra moves like Dazzling Gleam, Rapid Spin and Recover, this makes it a really fun Pokémon to use and I can't count how many times did I use one. It has an unbeatable record of being OU (the highest tier) for 6 generations in a row, and while it's attacking stats let it down in later generations it was always a useful team member no matter when or where. Oh and also the shiny is awesome, my favourite shiny alongside Sylveon's

My team in Leafgreen was Venusaur, Ninetales (that I'd happily trade for an Arcanine any day), Dewgong, Pidgeot (that I eventually replaced with Zapdos, my favorite Pokémon tied with Rayquaza), and some HM slave that I don't remember. I was such a noob back then, that I managed to lose my Eevee somehow, but I'm pretty sure I'd complete that team with an Umbreon.

The low/mid tiers are def tough to rank sometimes, especially if you are taking early game into account. You def got the god tier right though. There just is no comparison to Mew and Mewtwo in gen 1.

Fire Spin is a broken move, and Rapidash is the fastest user of it so for that I'd put high mid somewhere. Other than that it's a pretty spot on. You did a great job of balancing in game considerations with competitive viability.

Flareon, Ninetales, Clefairy, and Dragonite were my four absolute favorites back when the series was new. Two slight variants of "magical fiery fox", a round pink thing, and a soft-looking and friend-shaped but tough dragon. Ninetales suffers from mediocrity, Flareon from lack of a physical STAB and sufficient bulk to work a high attack, moderate speed build. The way the Eevee family are designed with fixed number scores assigned to their base stats and shuffled, some (my favorite/my mom's least favorite Flareon and my mom's favorite/my least favorite Leafeon) were absolutely doomed to mediocrity in perpetuity. And even funnier than this favorites list? My favorite TYPE was Grass, conceptually I've always been a huge fan of Grass type attacks and the Grass playstyle of mixing healing with damage (leech seed, absorb, mega and giga drain, synthesis). Grass, Normal (later Fairy), Fire, and Electric are probably an odd sounding list of favorites, especially in that order. Grass was at its most-not-sucking in Gen 1, partly because the dual Grass/Poison combo had a way to deal with bugs and the secondary Poison would cheese some AI opponents who'd absolutely wreck you if they just picked moves randomly.

I say Yellow Version is the best Pokémon game for the Gameboy because players who have Yellow version can get Pikachu as a starter Pokémon, just like Ash does in the anime, basically and also get ALL 3 starters too! BUT some of the Pokémon that are unobtainable in Yellow need to be traded from 2 previous games: Pokémon Red and Blue! 💛😊👍 The same thing as Pikachu in Yellow version cannot be evolved into Raichu!

with the ghost pokemon, i found haunter to be better. cus most attack hardly hurt him or cant hit him at all.. and most of the trainers in the game and wild pokem use attaks that cant hit haunter. miss, miss, miss... its nice. your forgetting that jolteon can use a bug attack which is the psychic pokemons only weakness. only problem is that bugs suck but jolteon does not suck. so zapdos may have a slight advantage with stats but jolteon has a bug attack. what did you think about pokemon yellows special pikachu? i was told that he can use many attacks the others pikachus cant and when worked on he becomes OP.

For Pokemon Yellow Pikachu is able to learn Surf, but only by putting Special Yellow Pikachu in a team in Pokemon Stadium and beat Round 2 Prime Cup in the Master Ball Division. This would give Pikachu some coverage against Fire, Ground, and Rock, etc. It is not possible to add Surf to Pikachu in the VC version of Pokemon Yellow unless you use ACE to add the move to it.

SSJSonikku he does more than just surf but I had Pokémon yellow and just regular leveled him and got surf naturally. I never finished leveling him though. I was told he gets more exotic skills than just surf and he can be taught more TMs than the regular pikachus.

I think Nidoking & Nidoqueen should be bumped higher because of how *early* you can get them (before even fighting Misty), to the extent that speedrunners use Nidoking almost exclusively due to this fact.
