Which mini Soldano has the BIGGEST tone? SLO Mini Amp vs SLO Pedal!

I personally wanted to like the amp more than the pedal but I am simply blown away by the tone of the pedal. It fits my particular style better, by far. I do believe I found something to put in my Peach shopping cart!!!

I have tested both , the pedal is much more difficult to dial in. And the Mini sounded better in the room.

I got the Pedal recently and I was disappointed. However, I had to add OD + Distortion + Comp + EQ pedals to get more room and loudness.

Would love to see the SLO Mini and the SLO-30 through the same cab, and see if the Mini can be made to sound anywhere close to the 30. In this demo the Mini sounds way better than the pedal to my ears.

Pedal is a tad dark in the fx return of the Revv. If you feed it into a clean amp channel there's more brightness and presence, more similar to the Mini SLO (depending on the amp you use, of course). I got myself the pedal. A purple one, even ;-)

Mini all the way. I would prefer the flexibility of the pedal, but the mini has more sizzle and thump. I have played the mini for a while and I really like it - lots of control and response (which doesn't sound like it is available on the pedal). I will probably end up getting/keeping the mini at some point.

He knocked it out of the park with this demo (on both products). The irony is that WAY back when the B.A.D versions of the new SLO 100 first came out, I think Peach Guitars put one of the first demo’s on KZbin….and they absolutely MUTILATED it. Made a $4K+, with one of the best tones on the planet, sound like fizzy muddy dog sh!t. Way to recover. This did both of these products justice. Best SLO mini demo I’ve seen, and that pedal sounds killer!

I like the pedal of coarse it helps running threw a tube amp. For a more balanced review should have ran it threw a solid state amp.

Okay this is absolutely great! I'm torn! Can I use the Soldano Mini Head as a Standalone? or do I need the cabinet? I'm not in a band yet! But for now, I am just practicing. Does the Mini Head have a headphone jack? Oh, and what model guitar is that?

The Mini doesn't have a headphone jack (or any sort of line out) - but that being said you could always get a cheap 1x12 cab or something for not much to make a complete rig.

I have the Bogner Ecstasy Mini... it sounds huge through a couple of 4x12 cabs... punches way above its weight. That said... I'd get the Soldano pedal over the head 👍

You can use the effects send on the mini head to go to a bigger amp or into a headphone amp. When you use the effects send like this, you don't have to use a speaker cabinet. The head is awesome & does a great job of sounding like its bigger brothers.

I’ve had both and kept the pedal . The mini SLO really beefs up with a eq in the loop though

I really wanted a pedal SLO for my Origin 20! But IMO the mini Head tone totally kicked the pedals ass! It just sounded more alive, more sizzle, more dynamic and bright like a real jacked-up tube amp, while the pedal sounded more"dull". Oh well maybe the mini heads FX send into the input of my Origin 20 will feed the pussycat!

I see no one answered your question. You can run the effects send of the SLO mini into the effects return of the katana. No this will not break them. In fact, the power section of the boss is bound to be better than the one in the mini.

They're both the same product. Only one has a Class D power amp built in and the other a stand alone stomper

Can't you slave the amp into the power section of another amp just like the pedal? just take the send and do no return? Also the pedal sounds amazing its power source is tube driven. So the real difference would be space, if space wasn't an issue i'd say the mini is all you need.
