I have both the harness and the shoulder mounts.. IMO the harness waist mount footage is noticeably more stable even with the longer (2 piece) bar ... also on various videos on KZbin it looks to me that the shoulder mount is a little more shaky, but the shoulder mount is easier to put on and take off for sure... both mounts are very good...

Hello Li, glad to hear my episode was helpful :) I did the "hang man knot" something like this is called, so more you pull the line tighter it gets. But I believe that now Sail Video System is selling the shoulder mount with a leash as well.

Hey, great that you bought a shoulder mount, and to be honest I don't think you need spare parts for shoulder mount, until now to me never broke anything on the shoulder mount and I had some serious crashes, so lets hope nothing brakes to you as well :)

Hey pete, i would really want to get these kind of shots. But i am still kind of a newbie, doing my first backrolls and failing. I loose a lot my board and spend quite some time body dragging. Do you think it is somehow dangerous for me to get sth like this?

Hey Stefano, I’m often using shoulder mount with my students that just started riding, doing transitions and small jumps. We never had any problem and they didn’t feel any discomfort. So I believe you could also easily use it, just I recommend to use it and do things that you are very confident with, do not start practicing tricks that usually you are not able to land ;)

The shoulder mount broke the connection part of the insta360 original selfie stick in a matter of minutes (18 minutes in the water). It broke when I fell while riding, not even a jump. Luckily I tied the camera with a shoelace to my harness. Spent 600+ euros for 18 mins of footage and now not #SailVideoSystem nor #insta360 want to return me any of my money. I do not recommend!
