They're at least mentally equivalent to a Homo Erectus or maybe something as advanced as the Neanderthals or early Humans, except they never had the need for tools so they didn't create them.

And yes, I know that the Geonosians managed to jumped scare and caught Luminara as well but on the scales of danger, Grievous is a lot tougher than Luminara as an opponent. After all, the Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droids Army slain a lot of Jedi while Luminara cannot even defeat a Sith assassin.

The Gungans could be number #1 with just a few simple doctrinal differences. Even if they formed a combined military with the Humans of Naboo they would have been very effective as a planetary defence force against the Trade Federation. Their *portable shield technology was _incredibly useful as a defence,_ both on a unit level with their beast mounted units and particularly on a individual combatant level with their full body sized handheld shields. It's just they were let down by using muscle powered flinging weapons - admittedly with very powerful ammo. If Gungans had blaster carbines to use with their shields, and perhaps magazine fed projectile launchers for their Boomas, then they would be terrifying. Then they could even march over open ground that would slaughter masses of Clone Troopers [First Battle of Geonosis] and not be mowed down. Mounting their large shields on speeders would make them a incredibly tough nut to crack - imagine if the Gungan military got in 'Space American' advisers to reform and upgrade it. _*It's even been stated that only Gungans could use those full sized portable shields due to immunity to some radiation hazard, which makes in universe sense as otherwise everyone would carry them._ Then there's their amphibious nature without the weakness of water dependency (they could survive on Tatooine), if the battlefield had pools of water they could hide and ambush with ease - Gungan hit and run in a swamp … And finally they could _really leap_ if Jar Jar was anything to go by, making jumps with acrobatics that could keep up with a Jedi. That's the trouble with basing the entire species mental competence on a individual _who was banished_ for being a complete idiot, admittedly a lucky fool. It's like judging the combat effectiveness of Humans from hanging out with Mr Bean. [Assuming that it's not all a act and that he's secretly Darth Bean …].

Not the strongest, but like you say, their intelligence is incredible. They made several different kinds of vehicles/ships, and were especially good at making heavy weapons and being marksmen. One of the most standard weapons for Wookiees is the X-1 disruptor carbine, which is going to be atomizing enemies. Bowcasters are also very common, and typically magnetically accelerate multiple quarrels laced with plasma that create devastating blasts. Their longblasters are also stupidly powerful, considering it's an enemy weapon, and yet still only a wookiee can handle the recoil, and their melee weapons are very useful for them as well as they can simply drop from trees on their foes and get slicing and dicing.

As they beat back the Empire on Endor, whereas the Wookies and Gungans(alongside the rest of Naboo) were beaten and subjugated, while the Geonosisans were almost completely wiped out by the Empire.

Hmm. You bring up some good points about the Wookiees and the Geonosians, but I think a fair reason the Ewoks did so well was because of several high-tech, highly experienced teams of Rebel Commandos and Spec-Force. You can expect them to lay traps, use protocol droids to brief the local population, jam scanners and sensors, sabotage comms, rig enemy structures, vehicles, and paths with explosives, and isolate groups of enemies before finishing them off. Ewoks also used other species, such as Wisties/fire spirits which, when several of them swarm probably could've been a very large problem. Nonetheless, Ewoks still played an integral role in overwhelming the Empire

Only wiped out on Geonosis, which seems like an oversight, as we know there's billions of them in colonies on other worlds colonized during the Clone Wars, you'd think these survivors would have raised a stink over their homeworld being cleansed of all their kind. I don't think the sterilization of Geonosis was handled very well by the story people, there's a lot of it that doesn't make sense.

In canon it was never specified that there were geonosian colonies on other planets. So with that in mind than the Empire did do a very good job at sterilizing geonosis, though it is possible that more geonosians escaped further into the catacombs other than klik klak

I, honestly, singled out the geonocians - if that's how one spells it - from the start. They, unlike the rest of the other races u mentioned, were the only ones with a hive mind and an insect-like behavior. And, as people have seen in certain insects, no matter the size of the bug, a hive consisting of thousands is devistating when facing a threat. When I think of the aggressiveness of geonocians, I compare that to the aggressiveness of a modern day bee/wasp or ant hive that'll do literally anything their queens demand of them, making them all the more stronger - especially when attacking as a whole.

Wookies are on a societal level … _idiots._ They had massive inbuilt advantages that they squandered, that if they had utilised they could have been a major power, or at least not constantly downtrodden and at risk of slavery. Their other game changing advantages besides being able to rip the arms off a droid. … A 400 year lifespan; this cannot be overstated. They can become highly skilled in multiple fields, being highly intelligent, and if they focused on it could move up the corporate ladder just by perseverance and seniority. Wookies could join the major haulage companies and slowly take them over (or even just the regular corporate business or bureaucratic ladder). _Workplace bullying is not a issue for a Wookie!_ They won't be the victim of it, and they don't even have to be overt in committing it, they can passively intimidate just by their presence. A Wookie could become a very skilled expert in a number of fields … (a Wookie researcher?). And so then the Wookies have the resources and clout to have their own space fleet. Next advantage; They can survive _naked_ in environments that would kill a Human wearing full protective gear. From Ice Worlds to Mudballs (that give Humans trench foot) to Desert Planets, they can survive a far wider range of extremes. That _opens up a lot of territory_ that most other species won't be interested in and that would have _serious issues_ operating in. Wookies living in sub zero conditions will have the jump on any raiding reptilian Trandosians. They have a special Pathfinder class that can discover new hyperspace routes and already know a lot of secret routes. Once again if they exploited that Wookies could dominate interstellar Commerce, although it would have to be with Wookie only ships to keep the secret. And if they get their own fleet they could have bolt hole Colonies hidden on unknown Planets, like the Lasat did. Claws… useful in hand to hand combat, but really just a metaphor for how Wookies handicap themselves. They have a brutally effective natural weapon that they refuse to use. Imagine if they coated their claws with superstrong metals (we know which ones) so they could slice through anything. Even a bit of cybernetic upgrades to their claws? As for cybernetics, that could compensate for the Wookies biggest physiological weakness, their limited vocalisation skills. They can't speak any other languages, but a simple voder implant could solve that - that's the biggest advantage the Lasat have over Wookies, they can speak Galactic Standard. For a technologically adept species they sure do love handicapping themselves. Even in combat their Bow casters are not as useful as heavy crew serviced weapons that Wookies could use as rifles. What if the MWC-35c "Staccato Lightning" repeating cannon (Baze's Minigun from Rogue One) became a standard Wookie weapon? It weighs 30 kilograms, which is a lot for a Human, but not much for a Wookie. That's just a carbine with a cross body bumbag. So what if Wookies adapted and used their advantages to the full? A sophisticated urbane Wookie _wearing a kilt_ and a pocket vest (with a small automated groomer in one of the pockets), and with a implanted voder, could be a mover and shaker in Galactic Society. I wonder if they would get the tips of their fur frosted?

They were fighting on prepared ground, and their enemy was overconfident and unfamiliar with the terrain, and they still nearly lost, but for Chewbacca's help. The Gungans meanwhile fought on open ground, against an enemy with more firepower and greater numbers, and still put up a commendable fight.

I feel like the gungans would be stronger than the sand people due to their physical strength. Their flexibility in locales means they'd have good physical strength- if you're going to be swimming a lot (as gungans likely would be due to their amphibious nature), then you'll have some super toned muscles. Think about it- on land, you have a dense support system of dirt, rock, and whatever else you're standing on to help you move. When you're in water, it takes much more effort to move the same amount you would on land, especially for a species that has huge frills that increase drag and not exactly streamlined proportions for swimming. The sand people have determination and skill, sure, but the gungans have skill and strength. Being determined doesn't outweigh physical strength in a fight- I can fight a master martial artist all I want, wanting to beat him will not be enough for me, as they will be stronger and more skilled.

Since I don't agree with this ranking, I disagree that a simple Wampa couldn't take on a group or small army of Gungans or Tusken Raiders. Not only because of their thick fur and physical constitution, but especially because Wampas are known to grow into MONSTROUS behemoths of death and carnage, like the pic you showed of them last. However, that being said, Wookies and Ewoks, yes Ewoks, could contend with them given the fact those two species tend to have similar if not bigger and stronger predators on their Homeworlds that they're known to encounter from time to time. As for the Geonosians, given their technological supremacy, I can see them taking one down and not just killing it, but capturing it for their Gladiatorial Arenas on their Homeworld, I'd hate to see a matchup between a Wampa and a Rancor though...

5:20 no, No matter how hard we tried we still had to see the lame scripted teddy bears, that should have wound up stuffed and on a wall. Lets face it, they were a scripting mistake. Give me a pencil and I'll create a goldfish so bad ass it can single-handedly defeat the Republic, empire, separatists, & Hutts all at the same time, while powered by 3 AAA batteries. The gungans, and ewoks were bad writing.

That was terrible. As much as I like the wookies, I think the gungans are better than that, unless you are ranking them by individual, which you said was not the case. 7.- wampas. They are lone hunters, that makes them the worst no matter how strong. 6.- Jawas. They are just scavengers, let them alone. 5.- Ewoks. Weak, small dudes that honestly butchered the 501st because jungle and the 501st got way too cocky. Communities are decent, but not that numerous. 4.-Sand people. Warriors, but with very limited tech and dwindling numbers. 3.-Wookies. I like Chewy, but as fearsome as they are, the fact they are that individualistic limits them. 2.-Gungans. Decentralized, semi representative city states with massive populations and good tech and diplomacy. Also, a very famous sith lord happens to be gungan. 1.-Geonosians. Yep.yep.
