Which One Are You? The Parable of the Sower

Jesus of Nazareth was the greatest teacher this world has ever seen, and he taught in parables, which are simple stories that illustrate a deeper moral or spiritual truth. Most of time, when Jesus told these stories, he wouldn’t explicitly reveal the greater meaning. But with The Parable of the Sower, he told his disciples exactly what it means. And in Mark 4:13, he basically said that if we don’t understand this parable, we won’t understand any of his others!
In this fully animated short video, we reveal the meaning of this foundational parable using modern language and relevant examples. The video illustrates the four different ways people respond to the Word, explains what it means to produce “Good Fruit”, and encourages Christians to grow closer in their relationship with God and to be faithful in continuing to plant those seeds (sharing God’s Word with others).
When you, like the farmer in the parable, share God’s Word with others-even if it’s just your story of how you decided to trust and follow Jesus-you are pleasing God, who desires that all people will enter into a relationship with Him (2 Peter 3:9), and rejoices in the harvest of faith. You are almost correct on what Jesus was trying to tell you all about this parable. If you understand this parable , then you will understand what Jesus meant when he said “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you,”

Will those people asked for Salvation but are choked out by lives troubles still go to heaven?

Great question! There are varying degrees of “third soil Christians” and it is plausible that some believers are saved even if they are choked by worries and deceitful pleasures. The Apostle Paul wrote about some believers’ work being completely burned, resulting in loss of reward, yet they will still be saved, but only as one escaping through flames (1 Corinthians 3:15). However, this should not be our goal! The four soils are presented in order from least to greatest and it is UNDENIABLE that we should desire to be the fourth soil, one that hears the word, understands it, and bears good fruit that glorifies God. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 7:17-23) God bless you!
