My choices for first decks fell on Reiju and Katakuri. Reiju is going to my first locals on Monday and Kata will be build when the new starter decks come. Your videos helped me a lot, deciding what I wanted to play. So thanks!

Honestly Just build KALGARA, bcs all the in engine pieces are 2 cents. If u ad 3 copies of ST-13 ACE for 21$, and that‘s it u get a really strong deck for under 25 bucks. Ps: U can cut ACE, play OP05 Enel

I started picking up starter decks a year or so ago but haven't gotten around to doing anything with the OPTCG until just recently. I currently have Kalgara, R/P Luffy, Big Mom, Reiju, and a few others. How bad of a decision is it to keep a deck theme based for casual and local play? For example, my Reiju deck is almost completely Germa 66 cards with a few generic staples.

It's not a bad thing at all. Just make sure you have some other players who are on the same page as you. It's not fun when two players want different things from a game

I'd say something very consistent with good removal and/or card draw is something I'd probably like based on my other tcg experiences.

Blue doflamingo is the best deck right now. This is what I would go with. Purple luffy is also very solid and it gets better once the next set comes out. St10 luffy is very strong, but very expensive and very hard to play.

Smoker right now is a weaker leader. Its objectively worse than a leader like rob lucci. Deck wise it's not terrible since the generic black engines are very strong. Once it gets the new smoker starter deck, smoker has some solid options that make it a playable deck. Not meta but solid and really fun.

It's a good deck. It just plays very differently from every other deck so a lot of people hate playing against it. Mtg wise it's kinda a stun deck. Idk I'd test it out on the one piece online simulator first if you're not sure
