That's a great deal! I remember 15 plus years ago if you wanted cut 1/2" material you would have to spend over $1500 dollars🤯. Crazy to see that the technology has come so far and we can now cut 1/2" plate for less then $200 bucks which is AWESOME! Way cheaper then using cut-off wheels all the time... Over my years I probably could have bought 100 plasma cutters for what I spent in death wheels. 😂😂 Good luck, thanks for watching and commenting...👍

You are welcome and I am not sure. I know some CNC machines require HF start and this is one is a pilot arc, I did not research the capabilities of cnc or thc. Appreciate you watching and commenting. 👍

I don't really have an answer... You figure each generation is supposed to get better so... I know the newer generation has an LCD screen otherwise not sure what the difference is or if it's better. I think it just comes down to preference...🤷‍♂️👍

So what is your opinion between the bestarc vs arc captain? They seem to be comparable in price but HF vs pilot arc (I'm not sure what the difference is). Thanks for your time doing these videos

Ugh, trying to get me in trouble 😂😂😂. I really can't answer that out of respect for BestArc, the machines are very comparable in price and performance and both work almost identical, the ArcCaptain has a clean LCD display while the BestArc is already wired at 220v both have pros & cons. Sorry I couldn't give you a direct answer I hope you understand. Keep in mind I did buy my ArcCaptain.. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

@@ChallengeTheBuild Nod once for BA, twice for AC 🤣 I understand. I saw a video where the AC couldn't cut 3/4". Today I saw video of the BA cutting 1" (not cleanly). The BA did cut 3/4" without issue though. Granted, I probably wouldn't cut anything more than 3/8". It would be rare to cut 1/2" for my use. One thing I did find out is pilot arc is better on non clean metals. However a HF plasma can easily be converted to pilot. Thanks again and I appreciate your video and the provided info between the 2. I do kind of like the air pressure reading in the front as BA did; although not a deal breaker. I have some consideration to do but I'm slightly leaning towards the BA, but not certain. Not a fan of the BA color choice either (not a big deal I suppose) and the AC would match the mig200 I just picked up. hopefully these units have a good life expectancy compared to the trusted brands.

I wouldn't recommend either of these machines for anything over 1/2", which is a serious chunk of metal. Also if you are leaning towards BA they have the 7th gen which has the updated LCD screen just like the AC. At the end of the day for any of the "budget" equipment it just boils down to personal preferences because in my opinion they all do the same basic functions... The old addage also applies you get what you pay for... Side note how do you like the AC Mig200? I have one I need to review..

i agree. Cutting torch is probably the better route for thicker steel and possibly most. Plasmas are great for thinner materials. I'm just planning for my project truck build (76 F350 crewcab converted to 4x4 and 7.3L powerstroke😁) As far as the mig200. I just got it. The only thing I've been able to do so far was to fix my broken flat shovel😂. I used 030 flux on 110v. I have seen several KZbin videos which is what led me to buy it. I was thinking about a $4k miller and stumbled across the AC. For my use, the mig200 will weld anything the brand names can (according to the videos) I mainly need it for my project and misc things. My buddy has a Lincoln 180 but it's sick. It overheats after minimal use. So hopefully the mig200 will hold up. You can definitely tell where they cut costs. I look forward to your review of it. Also, I'm not currently working, so funds are very limited. I only weld/ cut on occasion, so I don't need to spend a lot. I can buy a lot of these for the cost of a good brand too.
