Which Power-Ups Will Return In Super Mario Bros Wonder?

Super mario bros wonder was announced just a few weeks ago and while the trailer for the game looks great, it opened up a lot of questions. One of them being, what power-ups will this game have? While we only saw the super mushroom and fire flower in the trailer, there are nearly 70 other power-ups in the super mario series that could make it in. So today I predict which of the past super mario bros series power-ups will be returning in super mario bros wonder with a tier list!

I think that the wonder flower will be able to make the fire flower turn into the super ball, because the wonder flower basically gives life or changes things which sorta makes sense with changing the fire flower into the super ball flower.

With how the Wonder Flowers seem to do different things in different levels I could see it changing the power-ups on a level-by-level basis as well.. so maybe fire is just a base but a lot of the other flowers that make projectiles appear when under the effect of the Wonder Flower (superball, ice, maybe even boomerang)

Star, Mushroom and Fireflower basically have to return. Ice flower would be cool to see, same with pengiun. Acorn is very unlikely and I think that propellor and the other flight powerups are unlikely because of the nature of the game, but who knows.

The thing that basically proves the inclusion of the super star is how in the scene with the characters skydiving, Luigi gets the sparkle effect when Mario collides with him. It's what usually happens in the NSMB series in multiplayer mode. Just thought about pointing it out!

You didn’t mention the Poison Mushroom. Yeah it’s technically not a power up, it’s a power down. But given the gimmick of the game there could be a level where you need to dodge poison mushrooms and collect normal ones.

Here's an idea: Sans' house. Yes. I know. Sans is cliché and overdone; but in this case it goes deeper than that. In the files, the house is labeled "paphouse" and the inside is strangely a repeating set of tiles, in the same way censored spoilers are. Just to make it clear, Toby said he did all of Hometown at once (aside from the one minor addition), so the interior does definitely exist and is done. Add all of this up, the bros' connection to Gaster, and Papyrus' potential knighthood together, and it's a compelling case.

The Mario Maker Master Sword has almost no chance of showing up but god I would love to see it, it gives me such nostalgia for games like Kirby Super Star where different powerups could completely change how it felt to play the game. Replaying the same levels with different powerups often felt like playing a whole different level.

Honestly, the Movie powerup lineup is a fairly likely set. Star, Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Tanuki Leaf, Cat Bell, Mini Mushroom. That seems like a perfectly reasonable lineup to return and combine with anything new coming in.

imma list the different power ups he said and why i think it would actually really fit as a wonder flower power up (similar to the long mario in the trailer) i think that the superball flower will be in the game but not in the way you think but actually as a wonder flower effect that could possibly be used for a level where you have a fire flower but you use a wonder flower and you need to use the balls to strike high up enemies in an inclosed space in order to get the flower thing we know you get from completing wonder flower areas i think the same could be said for the metal cap in a way but its like a wonder flower that makes so you can no longer swim for a challenge but thats much less likely than the other idea i proposed spring power up is almost definitely coming as a wonder flower power up if at all which i think is actually pretty likely or atleast something similar would be an interesting wonder flower level with the gold flower i dont think its likely to come as a wonder flower thing but if it comes at all its going to be a wonder flower area cherry flower i would say would be a good wonder flower power i just dont think it would work with 4 players and the only chance it has is if it only works in the area in singleplayer but thats very unlikely weird mushroom honestly this may seem weird but out of all of these i said (except superball flower) i think this is the most likely and would fit amazingly for a wonder flower section (in fact it kind of already did with the tall mario in the trailer)

Question is, would the Super Leaf turn Mario into Raccoon Mario or Tanooki since they've been pretty inconsistent in recent games like 3D World and NSMB2 Edit: That being said, I can see the power ups being this -Super Mushroom -Invincibility Star -Fire Flower -Ice Flower -Super Leaf (that actually turns players into Raccoons, not Tanooki) -Propeller Mushroom -Cat Bell -Boomerang Flower -Penguin Suit And of course the new Elephant power up and maybe whatever other new power up they'll come up with

You missed Lakitus cloud. If you include the Goomba shoe and ice skate, which are basically the same in that you are killing an enemy and taking its vehicle, you should include this as a power up.

1:20 as an added bonus for a reason for the star’s appearance is that we see Luigi receive the rainbow effect when Mario psses by him, which is a property of the super star since New Soup Wii. So yeah.

personally i think we won’t see the mini or mega mushrooms as powerups,but only as things the wonder flower does to the characters. a) because the wonder flower already affects mario’s size and b) from what i’ve seen of the mega mushroom, there’s a good reason it hasn’t been seen in a home console 2d mario (it trivializes the 2d levels and makes the actions of the 3 other players unimportant.)

I’m not a Bee Mushroom fan, but I think it’s more likely than you gave it credit for. Not only it’s yet another animal transformation, but since the game’s setting is the Flower Kingdom, bees are much more relevant. Although maybe a 2D bee power-up would be so different as to be a new power-up.

They would have to use either a lot or just the basic power ups. Either a variety or give you the basics and make it possible to learn more advanced stuff. If that makes sense. Also, jokes on you I went through and beat all of 3D Land (including special levels) and 3D World twice, once with friends, once alone(100% the solo one!) without using the golden leaf once.

Personally I think that the game is gonna have for the most part unique power ups. I could imagine some other flower powerups like the ice flower and perhaps even the boomerang, but I am guessing not much more.
