How do PXG's brand new 0311 Gen 7 and Black Ops irons perform and which ones should you be putting in play?
I got my hands on all of PXG's brand-new irons for 2024 to find out which will suit your game.
I tested the 0311 P Gen 7, 0311 XP Gen 7 and Black Ops irons, head to head out on the golf course to see the differences. So which should you put in play? You'll have to watch the video to find out...

Your PXG fitter was the same person who got it all started with me and Gen 1 XPs in 2018 in MD. As a person in his 60's, these irons gave me back the distant of my youth. Updated to Gen 4's in '21 and will be getting fit for Gen 7 this fall along with Sugar Daddy. Absolutely love PXG irons.

@@hannahholdenNCG Based on your review I have ordered and just received last night my new PXG clubs! I have the new Gen 7 XP in gap thru 7 with the new SD lll sand wedge. Aero tech 60 private Reserve senior shafts (Old guy!). I ordered the 6/5 in the black ops w/same shaft to complete the set. Will share my experience from my round today!

I don't know if anyone has ever told you this, but listening to you review golf clubs is so soothing, I'm pretty sure my blood pressure drops. Channel keeps getting better, keep it up! The gen 7 looks the business (especially murdered out), but so does the price! If I bagged these one day, I think they would be my last irons for a decade or more.

I think you really nailed it when you explained how you really cant categorize some people into a certain club. But, since I started in 1986, quit in 2005, then began playing again in 2020, Im 61 now, and Im thinkin about eye appeal first, then I think playing options. Most people I know also say the same. They almost always end up fitted in the clubs the really like the looks off, as long as they check a few boxes for us mentally, yea, WE LOVE GREAT LOOKING CLUBS!! So as a senior who still has a 90+ swing speed, Im thinking that I would want the extra forgiveness and distance, and so, after looking at the three offered, Im DEFINITELY digging the BLACK OPS irons. I game SIM2 MAX OS right now and I love them, but Im considering a fitting with PXG. Love the looks of that BLACK OPS 😍🏌‍♀️

Thank you for a great review. Was wondering what shaft you had in these irons for the review. I have the Gen4 Ps currently but had a spinal fusion last fall so will be doing a new fitting at PXG in the Spring. Would you say the clubs feel as good as forged? Thank you again!😊

I’m currently using TaylorMade Qi10 Max, 10.5 degree head with a Mitsubishi Tensei blue 65 stiff shaft

Great review. PXG are marmite for many golfers. I typically love their stuff but those Black Ops are the ugliest irons they’ve made yet. The 0311s on the other hand are absolutely stunning (as they have been for the last few years) but they bloody should be at £209 per iron.

Pretty sure they have had gi before. Also can't find the light shafts I would choose. How do these compare to the Wilson offerings? Is Black Ops their game improvement range? Correction the Black Ops look like they have light shafts

They told me it was their first gi iron but some of their players distance irons could be mistaken for gi options maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️

How would you compare the P model to P790? Which do you prefer?

You don't need $1000+ PXG irons....just use one more club. Just check the loft comparisons such as your 7 iron vs the PXG 7 iron.

If the first one you tried is a players iron , would you not want the weight centre mass ?? The more weight behind the sweet spot is what you want in a player’s iron . Great content Hannah !

Those black ops look hideous. I have a PXG fitting scheduled in a couple of weeks and I know for a fact I will not be trying those. I have to like the look of a club first to put them in the bag regardless of how well I hit them.

I felt the exact same way and just did a fitting Sunday and u will change your mind about the black ops after hitting them there are bad ass no comparison for me I loved the looks of the gen 567 and hated the black ops looks but after hitting them all the black ops are plum fire 🔥 u will love them I promise ya and have a change of heart I'd put money on it I was blown away how much better I hit the black ops and I hit the best with a upwards 2 degree head and 1/4 inch short than standard length was my go too and what I just ordered and as far as putter try the battle ready 2 closer with the plumber neck shack omg I'm in love not a fan of the 339 dollar price tag on a putter but have never rolled the ball so well with a putter so I'd have that putter in my bag no matter what I purchased and I was between pxg and Jpx 923 The Zx4,5,7 the Smoke Ai irons and I'm sold on the black ops over everything so far still have to try sixron zx's and the Ai smokes which I'm doing tomorrow the pxg black ops I hit better than the 923s so I will know which way I'm going after tomorrow but regardless I will definitely have the pxg putter in my bag it's a bad mother I promise ya😅

One more thing that has sold me on the black ops go online a type in pxg black ops forsale online there's none and piles of used gen 6 and 7's which tells me that the reason there's no used ones forsale online is everyone loves them fact!!❤

@@davidfarley6666 Funny those are the same irons I'm interested in trying as well. I love the look of the Srixon irons and the ability to create a combo set of ZX5/ZX4/ZX7 would be nice. I've been a fan of Mizuno since I bought a set of MX-20s back when they came out. I like the look of the 923 line but haven't had a chance to demo them yet. I'll definitely try the Black Ops. This is my first dynamic fitting so I want to try everything and really concentrate on getting the correct shaft. I've only had static fittings done up until now.

Looks is subjective but at this point I think pxg makes some very sexy iron options, especially when blacked out. Take a look on their website as things have changed in the looks department. Now if you get triggered just by seeing the letters PXG then I guess it don't matter how sexy the rest of the club is.
