Which Red Disc Seal (RDS) Should I Use? Different Tub Spout Pipes, 1/2" Copper, 1/2" Steel

I was just wondering about a way to waterproof a shower were the spout penetrates the shower wall, instead of ugly goops of silicone. This is exactly what I was thinking.
