Which Seiko 5 GMT Should You Get? 🤔

I picked my blue/Black Seiko 5 GMT up yesterday. I was initially leaning towards the orange dial, but I really liked the blue on the bezel and the dial as well - looked way better in real life than on all the pictures I’d seen before.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Just an observation, but I think you’ve gotten so accustomed to your preferred watch size that these look bigger to you than they are. Imho both of these watches fit your wrist.

Thats what I was thinking. These watches definitely fit. If someone wants a larger face and has a 6 1/4 wrist, it appears these would be a great option.

Picked up both the black and white dials in Japan for a song. I love both but I slightly prefer the black. Bracelet is better than most Seiko 5s imo. My only complaint is the thickness of the case but for the price I paid for them I can live with it!

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH

⁠The prices for my $379.00 Seiko watch purchased at Amazon around 6 or 7 years ago continue to rise. Got a weird watch with a total crap faux gator strap….Seiko Sarb 017 Alpinist. The prices that little watch was going for on EBay recently or other places that do the auction thing have gone looney tunes…smh….Fine vid Ben!

Yes, I have bought from MAMACOO more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from MAMACOO again for sure.

They both fit actually. Sure the " SKX " design case ( this one is much better finished ) has quite a presence but you can definitely pull it off.

it might be a bit big but the L2L is only 46mm. It fits fantastic on my 6.75in wrist so I wouldn't write it off just because of the larger diameter

I bought the Batman version. Amazon. Apparently, no warranty because when it just quit and I sent it back to Seiko they denied warranty coverage and wanted $200+ to fix it. Told them to return it to me. Bought a NH34 online and replaced the movement with the help of KZbin. I’ll never buy another Seiko. I must have a dozen or more of them and the one time I needed service I got nothing. Been buying their stuff since 1977. Phooey!

White dial of SSK cannot be more popular, because it's only available in Japan. I'm waiting for mine. Unfortunately, the expected delivery is estimated at the beginning of September.

Nice looking, the diver-style GMT works better IMO. At £420 I can forgive some penny-pinching, but these Seiko bracelets are seriously not up to scratch.

really like the style of the dive-style Seiko GMTs, but they look absolutely horrible on my 6,75 inch wrist. Way too chunky and too thick for my taste. Went for a white Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT which wears way more elegant, loving it.

Can get the same for a lot less from Addiesdive, San Martin, etc. or maybe better with sapphire Chrystal and screw down crowns. Seiko needs to step up their game. Thanks for sharing.

I made the mistake of wasting my money on a Pagani Design Rolex homage GMT; what an absolute waste of money. The bracelet was garbage, the movement was clunky and it was too bulky. Sure it was pretty cheap (about $85 AUD) but considering the hype around some Pagani watches it was extremely disappointing.
