very well explained. only i disagree with dram cache, it should not be there. some drives eg silicon power have slc cache. [edit] still confused but i guess dram is better (caps are used till data gets flushed to nand so no data loss but increases cost) earlier hmb was not well implemented, that is now improving so that is something to watch out for.

How TBW calculated by the companies? In some experiments it's seen that TLC cell can work upto 700-900 tb ! And MLC can upto 1-2 pb !
