It's the epitome of a tragic shame, Grand Admiral. Though the Jedi could do with some military tactics and training, which would have both lessened the need to constantly replace your men (Every respectable commander's best dream: walk away with victory, and the smallest casualties) *_and_* taught the Jedi to not just rely solely on the Force or their lightsabers, which in of itself would have made the Order an absolute *_terror_* to even see one on the battlefield. It also would have made the bond between Jedi and Clone much deeper. Hell, there's enough rumor of Jedi-Clone love, that had the Jedi not decided to encourage zealot-like devotion to the Order by forbidding love, they would've had greater Public Relations and Order 66 would've been seen in a worse light in the Republic and would've stayed around longer. If the Republic and the CIS had combined their forces and logistics, I would and could give a valid theory that they would stand toe-to-toe with the Imperial Army in a very wide variety of engagements.

It's obviously the Ewoks hands down. Their strategic fighting locations in the forest counter attacks enemy vehicle and their size provides a tactical advantage making them hard targets to hit. They are also experts in the field of battle so don't anyone tell me otherwise.

It's a valid point. The Ewoks are disliked on the thinking that they were teddy bears for the kids to like; however, that also are meant to convey that looks can be decieving. Credit for credit the cheapest victory in Star Wars lore. I think they deserve an honorable mention. They fight the most prepared battle in all of star wars probably preparing for over a year. They were patient and turned an ambush into a delaying action that used their enemie's over aggressiveness to their advantage. They didn't show their hand until an opportunity presented itself and they employed redundancies not knowing which of their bushcrafted techniques would be effective. They had a society that could coordinate engineering projects and religious zealotry that strengthened the resolve of their forces. The completion of their preparations coincided with the arrival of a perceived deity, validating their plans. Ewoks weren't limited by ethical rhetoric and if they took prisoners is was just to keep their food supply fresh.

They could have even defeated the Republic

I have a bias towards the droids, but I like this list a lot, it makes some sense when looking at it in terms of how the armies were composed rather than the actual outcomes in the war. The rebels were the worst army (basically insurgents) even though they ultimately won (barring those Disney sequels of course.....ugh). And to me it felt like in Episode three the Separatists were actually putting up a good fight, thinning out the republics forces and even (though unsuccessfully kidnapping their chancellor). If Palpatine wasn't running both sides of what was essentially a fake war, and just turning the droids off, I almost think that the Separatists could have at the very least caused a compromise and cease fire. I mean thinking about it, the B1 battle droid while essentially weak could provide a force of cheap and yet massive and effective "meat" (metal?) shields that would occupy the main force while the stronger units and vehicles could then be used strategically to win the battle. The battle droids would be covering for any real strategies. Even if you notice the B2 battle droids or the giant Mechanized Abominations coming at your flanks, you'd have to keep in mind the millions of annoying B1 battle droids that are constantly shooting at you. A clone would be forced to attack the more important target while under constant cover from the front. Now if only Disney would buy the Terminator franchise (I'm joking that would be terrible) and make a new droid army of T1000s.

If this were a question of best army including economics and politics, the Separatist Droid army comes first place. The fact that the Republic almost went bankrupt during the first year of the clone wars speaks for itself. The only reason they didn't go bankrupt was because of Sidious. Not only that but the Droid army was the biggest to ever exist, having billions of droids. And if Sidious wasn't in control they would've had quintillions as stated in legends. But putting that aside, I couldn't agree more with the list on this video. As the clones were far superior to droids and any other army in starwars. In an even match number wise of clones vs B-1 Droids clones would win 100%, probably having 1 casualty at max.

True. The funny thing is, if you consider what we see in films and comics, the rebellions troops were generally better than all the other factions. They were more committed, braver, and more determined due to them truly believing in what they were fighting for. They were simply outnumbered, out equipped, and used for a completely different role than the other armies. Just look at the battles we see them in. Hoth, they were not fighting to win, they were fighting to stall as long as possible. For that, they did a pretty good job considering the vast opposition they were up against. On Endor, it was a small assault team that was used to infiltrate. They were up against a legion of the 501st. If it had not been a trap, the rebels would have won without the aid of the Ewoks. So troop to troop, the rebellion has it, but in terms of organization, size and power, they simply cannot compare.

Actually, the stormtroopers armor was plastoid, which could spread out the energy of blaster bolts, so most of the troopers you see get shot actually survived and were unconscious.

I think you failed to mention some weaknesses of the republic army, for example, placing jedi with no command experience or training in commanding roles instead of utilizing them as a special forces unit, which I think would have been more suitable.

Most Jedi are humble and would take any advice from their Commanders if they themselves had little to know battle experience. I mean Anakin didn't always used to be a tactical genius but in time he developed his skill. So yes that is a weakness but a temporary one.

In the beginning the jedi were very inexperience in combat. However as the war went on, many became competent and skilled leaders. Many even listened to their clone commanders and admirals. For Example: Obi-Wan with the 212th, Anakin with the 501st, Plo Koon with wolfpack squadron, etc. Many jedi cared for their men. Not gonna lie, there were some issues with certain decisions, for example the 1st and 2nd battle of geonosis. Every army both has its competent and incompetent leaders. The empire no exception.

Officially, not a chance, as all that came after the fact. However, knowing the kind of person Palpatine was, I can guarantee he was always looking forward, moving forward, he was no fool. I'm sure he sensed something, or had forward bases trying to map and extend his rule into the Unknown Regions and had some info on this potential threat. So I can accept this theory as extremely probable, however his first goal was definitely to take control and stabilize what the Republic had controlled already, then extend that to what was known of the galaxy, then the rest of the galaxy itself, then upon sensing/uncovering the threat, to unite the galaxy against it. Palpatine's rule was cruel at times, and very strict, but it was in no way unbearable for most, as after the rise of the New Republic, many longed for the stability that the Empire had. And as was proven, the New Republic was in no way or in any shape to deal with the Yuuzhan Vong.

EckhartsLadder I would argue that the separatist had the best ground army. The b1 droids the cheapest to produce were used as effective cannon fodder while the b2, droidikeas, tanks, etc. did damage an act as shock troops. The b1 droids were also a lot cheaper. Even the oom upgraded b1 were cheaper than clones and other biological soldiers. The most expensive part of fielding a army is not the equipment which you pay once for and can gather in large quantities it is the troops themselves that are the most expensive because they need to be trained to use the gun, the tank, the jet, etc. An provide them and maintain a place of recruitment and training. Who cares if you lose a few dozen b1 droids they are programmed machines an easily replaceable but losing a few dozen clones to the b1s or the better droids using them as shields? That is loads more expensive. Even if the CIS went with the more expensive quality over quantity droids like the commandos and mangma guards they would still be cheaper than running a biological based army and those droids would easily pay for themselves in combat by taking out multiply clones. If a b1 droid killed a clone they easily paid themselves at least twice over if not three times over because clones needed to be trained/taught and needed to grow. The clones are expensive both in the short and long term.

This one is a tougher, closer one than I think you gave it credit for, and I honestly think this is worth a re-look. The CIS may not have the worst infantry, as an army they are without question. They have the best communication lines, superior numbers to any opponent, and by the end of the war were capable of advancing themselves on such a level that they were actually starting to win. I would say that the Republic has the best infantry, not the best army.

I will admit the At-At was certainly more situational than other tanks, I still feel the Empire had the strongest army. They had the numbers like the confederacy and the training similar to that of a clone (though not from birth). Most of the technology was also improved including gunships, bombers, and light armor like the At-St which could be easily modified for different uses.

Fun Fact: The early models of the AT-AT actually served in the Republic during the Clone Wars. Most prominently when they were used during the Battle of Jabiim alongside AT-TEs and AT-XTs. Which makes sense since Jabiim’s rough environment made repulsor lift type vehicles almost completely useless.

They only won because the game was rigged. It is stated that by the end of the war that the CIS is out producing the Republic. It isn't certain who would have won but the clones were definitely given a run for their money.

In Clone Wars it only really showed seperatists victories for the sake of a better story. What is ignored is that for every clone victory seperatists also had a victory and would have won in the end. The droids were a scary infinite force that they could produce way faster than a clone could be replaced.

Thor's Hammer Hundreds if not thousands of ships were guarding High Charity during the events of Halo 2. Most of them have bigger firepower than most of the CIS ships and their shields can handle even Magnetic Acceleration Cannon shots (1-2 shots at least). The CIS have better fighters and interceptors but their capital ships are lower in quality IMO.

The droid armies would not at all struggle against enemy vehicle attacks in a battle. Hail-fire droids are especially useful for these, and most other situations. Whilst somewhat lacking in armour and missile capacity, the ability to independently target and fire homing missiles at separate targets whilst at high speed and from long distance make it a very useful weapon. A single rocket is capable of toppling all enemy air and ground vehicles, and a chin mounted heavy repeater allows it to mow down infantry. A small group could easily obliterate most vehicular threats.

the T4-Bs were uncontested KINGS of the battlefield, whenever the Empire didn't have AT-AT's. they absolutely out-classed and out-gunned other tanks. the Canderous Assault Tank absolutely obliterated everything else, though. including AT-AT's. the Rebellion didn't really have much access to those though.

I feel that with just the AT-AT walkers alone, the empire could be 2nd what with how much armor it packs. But the Republic Juggernaut would reign supreme as the ultimate vehicle with just how diverse it is with its firepower and being able to hold easily 300 clone troopers. but the CIS would be a very close 3rd with just how diverse the troops could be.

If you understand anything about actual military tactics, you'd realize what a failure of a design the AT-AT is. It's so ridiculously slow and lacks so much maneuverability if it can even properly engage you in a fight, you've already failed at your tactics. A more mobile force, utilizing fire and maneuver could chose where and when to engage it, if at all. Seriously. If you see deployed AT-ATs and don't even want to bother with flanks and ambushes. Just pull back, you'll be way faster than it, any enemies that pursue will overextend outside it's support defeating its purpose. Meanwhile, send word to other combat elements to push their lines to just circumvent or envelop the AT-AT groups. Empire deserves 3rd IMO.

The only ground elements I can think of that can take on a AT-AT is the clone armies HAVw A6 Juggernaut and their Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery Turbolaser ,that can take down ships. I cannot think of any other faction having the weapon capabilities to take on an AT-AT when it comes to pure ground elements. And with the added benefit of AT-ST and infantry support; flanking would be a little hard. And you underestimate its speed of 60 kilometers/hour, or 37.5 miles/hour, which granted is its max speed but that would make infantry hard pressed to outrun that. And you also do not account that one of its usage's is a mobile self propelled artillery, making it an effective long range fighter.

I know where my allegiances are. While playing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2, I was in the RGF clan. They later disbanded and got consumed by the IGF clan. Much later, during JO/JA, RGF came back as a sort of mock internal competitor in the overall group. I miss the days of roleplaying starwars.

I agree with your analysis on the armies and navies, and I would like to add one more detail to these topics. I got the idea from another analysis/conspiracy/lore video so don't take my word for it, but the Republic's and Separatist's armies were used as legitimate armed forces in a legitimate war that both sides acknowledged was going on, so they had to be flexible and properly organized to compete with each other. On the other hand, when the galactic civil war between the Empire and the Rebels broke out the Empire had existed for about twenty or so years and had no real competitor to fight against until that point. The Empire used its army more as an oppressive/policing force, hence the tall, intimidating, walker designs. The Rebellion was an organization that was facing an uphill battle all the way to the end because the Empire had done such a good job terrifying everyone into blind loyalty. This, combined with the fact that they had few permanent bases, meant that they had to steal, or smuggle almost everything they had in order to fight the vastly more massive Empire forces. Just some more points to consider.

Obviously the Republic.Their soldiers are genetically superior in every way to empire and alliance, they also had very specialist troops.They also were brothers cared for each other.the moral of them would most of the time be way higher than the empires and alliance ones.Vehicle wise, They also win in my opinion.They have something reliable for every situation.Wanna charge at the enemy?Juggernaut.Wanna advance fast while the enemy is on the run? TRX-130.Want dedicated air support?Stun cannon tank.The last thing is air combat.The republic has a huge arsenal of logistic and combat vehicles such as LAAT/i or LAAT/c.Then they have the Republic shuttle for smaller troop/cargo movements.In the air, they have the highly manoeuvrable V-19 torrent or the Actis Class intercepter.Maybe even the V-Wing.For heavy aerial bombardment, they can use the BTL bomber or arc-170.Their forces synergize very well.
