Here’s Harley; cutting from the street/sportster line. Bringing out 3 models that are exactly the same as they have been (excluding paint jobs and aesthetics) no upgrades, no improvements, no surprises, nothing! Just a price increase! Maybe Harley should hire someone from Triumph to show them how to build motorcycles? Too bad Triumphs aren’t more accessible here in Tulsa Oklahoma where I live! Triumph have a load of variants but not one that is really the 'US custom' look which is really what the main selling point of the original 'US spec' designs, just needs the 'US custom' livery, more alloy everywhere, the higher rise bars, grab rails, a bit more chrome, though i'm fussy i would of liked the old alloy switch clusters on the bars and the for me the cruise control? what bonnie rider is really interested in that? it's a bike for people who want to taste and eat every inch of road, i think the whole range is really a load of near misses

For almost a year, I dreamed of the Speedmaster. Compared to the T120, it's "cooler". The T120 had colors schemes and a seat that did not appeal that much to me but I felt it was a more sensible bike to own. The standard peg position would be better for our horrible roads, the larger tank more practical, heated grips more usefull than cruise ctl, more lean angle. My brain said T120, but my heart said Speedmaster. However, when I saw the new for 2020 orange color, that sealed the deal and I went for the T120.

Speed Twin. Yes it needs an RS version for those who like adjustable suspension and maybe a bit more power, although I'm happy with the suspension and power on my one. Seat needs to fully cover the frame, and therefore a little more pillion room. Get rid of the blacked out section on the exhaust pipes. Make them all brushed stainless steel (nope I don't want to pay £700 for Vance & Hines) Lug on the kick stand needs a bit extra metal to put your foot on. By most accounts, the modern classic line continues to be plagued by fuelling issues linked to Euro 4 & 5 emissions restrictions. Some pople don't notice it while other riders sell their bikes beacuse of it. In fairness, most new bikes have the same problem and its most noticebale characteristic is a twitchy throttle, especially at low speeds and in low gears. Some describe it as having a throttle that acts more like an on/off swich as opposed to a smooth, linear delivery of power. Another thing to consider is that the days of installing a nice set of slips ons to enhance the sound of your bike are finished. All the modern classic bikes are heavily muted and slip ons really won't make a difference as most of the sound dampening is happening in the catalytic converter. And if you remove the catalytic, you end up throwing out the fuelling significantly resulting in a dimished ride that pops and backfires heavily on the overrun. Again, not Triumphs fault. But the state of Motorcycling is in a sad place right now.

I recon the new T120 is still the pick of the Bonni range. I was hoping to see a 6speed box on the T100 range. The bump in power and reduction in weight is grate. Now Royal Enfield is hot on Triumph hills but I recon if some wants a Triumph they will buy a Triumph. Now there is another dark horse in the class and that is the new V7 850cc with 65ph and 6speed box and a the electronic gadgets as the Triumph. Plus it has shaft drive which is even more low maintenance. With a bigger fuel tank and less weight it might be a very interesting alternative. Now a test with T100 and T120 and the new V7 850cc would be a grate idea and I know Tim will be very happy to help out with it.

Of all the Triumph bikes I've been on the Speedmaster was the most comfortable. Very low to the ground and the reach to the bars is perfect for me. You'd definitely need a different seat for two-up riding, but for solo its fine like it is.

special edition street twin, SWEET. reminiscent of my STR in black & gold paint w/gold rims. now if only Triumph would consider a mono shock smaller CC scrambler weighing in more like the Daytona for ppl wanting to go off road - like say, 400-765cc?

I love the bobber but tank size always put me off before. So tempted now

Hi Bob, I live in France, Honda is now offering a 5-year warranty on all models, I traded in my Honda Forza 300 for the new 350. I'm looking for a weekend motorbike & with a 5-year warranty, it's a game-changer for me, Honda or Triumph? I feel if the company are confident in their product a longer warranty wouldn't be an issue, with a 5-year warrant it holds the value of the bike when you wish to sell it after 3 years with another 2 years warranty left. A win-win for all parties.

How much better does the bobber look with a bigger tank!!! and of course cures some of that range anxiety....Perfect! as ever great vid👌💚☘️

Agree mate - it looks proper good now and the range thing was always a massive weakness

Ive had a 12 liter (3.2 gal) tank since 2018, I just had dealer install the sppeedmaster tank on it and I debadged it. Always over 150 mile range minimum and bigger tank looking nice and beefy on the small bobber black. As a result of extended range I had to install wilbers top of the line rear suspension to keep my butt happy on those longer days.

@@funkthat I hear ye....did the same with my Street Twin although with a bigger T120 tank.....original tank although fine for range, for me always looked to small on the bike! Think this is the best mod Triumph have done across the range and will re-ignite the bobbers sales imo💚☘️ride safe

Love Triumph and hope to purchase a T120 this year, my only gripe is you talk about weight saving but you now don't get a centre stand rear passenger hand rail and heated grips as standard these are all additional costs, why not be honest about weight savings how much does the centre stand weigh for example, so tell us about the downgrades as well as the upgrades 🤔

Hey Bob, Definitely looking forward to a Speed Twin R - if it becomes a reality. I'll 100% sell/trade in my big Kato Super Duke if it does!
