I fell in love with using vellum over the gift tags on our Christmas presents last month. Thank you for this information. It answered all my questions for future purchases. 👍

Thank you so much for this. I haven't used vellum yet. This is so helpful. I like your voice, beautifully clear and you talk at a nice pace, which makes you easy to understand. It's a good quality to have in a demonstrator. I have definitely subscribed to your channel. Jo x

Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling trying to score and fold vellum for a wedding card and it just kept cracking and breaking. Now I know to purchase the Paper Accents brand. I bought many of the vellums that you have listed and some that you don't have listed and they all cracked and broke at the fold. Thanks again for doing this

So glad this was helpful! I'd just say to use a blunt score tool and make a gentle pass at first, then repeat if necessary. Good luck with your vellum wedding card project!

I use these sheets for quilting templates and stencils. Sometimes it’s best to let the printing dry over night. thanks for the weight testing.

That is a great use for vellum. I often hand journal on vellum and after sitting overnight I don't usually have problems with it smearing, so this test was interesting!

I am actually planning to copy a pair of vintage 1920s Art Deco lamp shades and they are sort of intricate in that they pyramid down. in other words they are folded and stepped and I thought Vellum would be a great thing to use the originals were made from an oak tag which I found OK but I can’t find oak tag that remotely resembles the quality that the old tag was used back in the day had. So what I wanna do is foldThe vellum and then copy the pattern onto the vellum and punch holes on the edges for the lacing and see if I get a decent finished product. For some reason I thought the Vellum would be a great thing to use, so I’m starting to do some research on it. One question I do have is, is there a heavier weight than 48 pound in the vellum?

I'm not sure where to find heavier vellum, but I'm pretty sure it is out there somewhere. Maybe searching for a fine arts store online would be a possibility? Good luck with your project!

which wt of velum is best using art gliter glue? so it does not show.
@CraftySoupVideo2 жыл бұрын
Thicker weight vellum, over 40lbs, will hide adhesive better. But because vellum is see through it is hard to hide it completely. I usually add my glue and then cover up the glue spot with some other decorative item. However if you want to just glue vellum straight down, my best tip for art glitter glue is to spread a very very thin layer of glue over the entire surface of the vellum and then stick it down. Obviously this can be a messy job. Good luck.
