If what I take doesn't fit into my two panniers, my dry bag, or my tank bag, it doesn't go. I have a huge duffle bag for my tent/mattress. I set up the tent, then roll everything up inside the tent, so that all I need to do is assemble the poles and crawl in. Works great in bad weather. But the larger tents are more difficult. I generally look for cheap mom and pop motels.

Hi, I recently saw a bike fridge at a bike shop that you may be interested in. It mounts inatead of the GSA Top box on the carrier railing above the tail light. It is supposedly fitted with a Danfoss-type compressor an looks like the National Luna camp fridges, only more square and obviously much smaller (about the same size as the OEM box) I can put you in contact with a friend at the dealership tasked with handling accesories if you'd like. (Shipped from South Africa)

But tonight we found ourselves with maps tracing your route which is often times close to routes and places we've taken and seen. I think we're planning our future excursions and seriously considering some of your routes as they seem to be the road less traveled. Thanks for Sharing!

Ive done a lot of this, including week long dirt bike trips off road.. The best most simple advice I can give is to read up a lot in the forums discussing ultra light backpacking. My last offroad trip around Arizona all off road my total gear weighed about 30-40lbs. That includes a week of food, tools enough to dissemble the bike, tent, sleeping bag, water filter, camel back backpack and minimal clothes. No tank bag offroad. My street traveling rig I'll carry a bit more clothes, and use a tail bag and a tank bag on a 2005 Yamaha FZ1, off road trips have mostly been on KTM 620 enduros. I have saddlebags for the Yamaha and only used them once.

And split the 500+ miles home over two days instead of one. After all the heat we experience this past week it takes a toll. Bob has to be at work tomorrow. I found it quite humorous when Steve came up to me and said I know Rich. I said huh! Then I realized he was pointing to the TWBL shirt I was wearing. Hope we get to meet up someday down the road. Been loving y'all since the beginning! I'm a 53 year old woman that's only rode on the back of a bike with dudes that scare me. I want to ride though. Decided I'd be better off being the driver. Husband got me a 2021 150cc Tao scooter. It registers 80 mph. Fast enough for me. Any advice for a beginner that has seen enough wrecks to be scared?
