Warms my heart to see young people daring to invest in large format consoles.

Love your videos. Great content and always very informative. The wandering dog thing is an eye pain and distracts from what would otherwise be excellent stuff!

Thanks! Also for the feedback on the Junocam. I find it a fun addition, especially for people with similar brains as mine that might find it hard to focus. But im taking your feedback with me on the next video and try another approach🙏

@ Hi Thomas - It’s probably my old eyes but I find the dog cam box quite distracting. Don’t stop the excellent content!

Thank you for this excellent report that places us into a moment that we feel unique! We feel the mixed feelings of friendly customers, between a daydream and la perspective Of a titanic job when they will have to take care of all this! When I think I complain as soon as I have to disconnect my UFX RME to transport it... That said, their project of a recording studio of an orchestral space is exciting, and a little against the current trends (in any case, in France, I think these large studios have more or less disappeared). I look forward to your future video to immerse ourselves when they invite you to discover the Neve in action! (And I add that I appreciate your very simple and direct approach to the visual. The camera that makes us discover life at dog height is exceptional. All this is very lively!)

Hi! Could notice a difference between the 88R and the 8068 in sound?
@thomasvopstal14 күн бұрын
From what Mark has told me, as i don’t have first hand experience, the 8068 sounds a lot more colored and the 88 is cleaner. We talk about it in the first episode of this series

that thing runs hot. it needs a huge AC for the computers and separate room.
@thomasvopstal13 күн бұрын
Yes! A lot of large format consoles need a separate machineroom with strong AC but this one takes it to the next level!
@greganikin700311 күн бұрын
@ i know it for a fa t because i had to work with this console. Separate room with AC and good ventilation. Same was with SSL 8000G+ i was working on in one studio. Once we had AC leakage luckily the computer rack was elevated so it didn’t get damaged
@thomasvopstal11 күн бұрын
@ this reminds me of the first week at the studio i used to work at where they installed the AC pump right above the ssl powersupply and it started leaking! Scary moments but all good afterwards
@greganikin700310 күн бұрын
@@thomasvopstal yeah scary funny. my funny story was i sit and mix and during the break i hear some weird noise going through the tube with wires going to the monitor from the machine room... i think - that's strange, very weird sound. i go to the next door building where the owner/tech lives. i wake him up insisting to go with me and check what's going on, i'm like a 1 week working in the studio, so i'm a newby, he goes ok and them we went to the machine room and saw tha flooding. That's how i earned respect of the studio owner and got into the team even better. Mike said - thanks for waking me up man.

tbh. New iphones beat every 1k dslr cam out there.. especially when it comes to stabilize software. also small iphone gimbals are very affordable nowadays. But also in post you can fix a lot with stabilizing software.
