Comment as much as you like, don't let negative people sour your mood, and it's probably similar in real life as well, the abuser is always stressed and angry all the time and then takes it out on their kids, so the poor kids learn to walk on eggshells to try to avoid getting their parent mad, cause a happy parent doesn't hurt you, and it's honestly sad that a kid should have to think like that, the Sims 4 is eerily good at replicating these types of family behaviors in families.

This scenario takes me back to my toxic childhood with my single mother. Needless to say, I left home too soon with a stupid boyfriend, got pregnant at 19 and it didn't work out. Anything to get away from a narcissistic mom. But, maybe there's hope yet. I ended up marrying a responsible man who's been loyal and helpful for over 15 yrs. And my son is now a responsible man with goals and skills. Dont worry lacey, it will work out.

Real trauma like that isn't so simple to deal with as a therapist and an antidepressant, and trauma is often times very very ugly.

I think Lacey would be good for her own story aging up, moving out, emancipating herself and trying to get through high school with pretty good grades and into college. I think this particular challenge would have been better if the mom made the child supplement her income by dumpster diving (selling the 'burnt' items from the inventory) then selling what could be sold on the selling table & having that one mod that allows children to do more like cooking (I literally can't remember the name of it right now) therefore ensuring the mom makes the child cook all her food.

I once had a sim mom that always treated her 2 daughters badly for no apparent reason, she had no evil trait, no hating children trait, and was even a family sim, her daughters weren't mean or belligerent in any way, and this was before the family dynamics, but it really seemed like she had a bad dynamic with her children, at first she treated one girl worse than the other like yelling at her for no apparent reason and was fine and happy with the other girl, and this was without any intervention from me, I usually played the girl's point of view, then later the mom started yelling at the other girl too, the mom would also never cook group meals even if the girls were hungry at the time, she only would cook for herself, she wouldn't make any group meals unless I made her, the girls would always be stressed while at home, and then one day when the mom, once again, made a nice tasty meal only for herself her daughter got angry and shouted at her mom as if she was complaining about her mom never cooking for them, it was then that I knew the kids weren't doing well in that household, so I moved them into another house with another caretaker, and the girls are a lot less stressed now, and I even get concerned if their mom pays them a visit, which she never does, she doesn't even call them, sometimes they pay her a short visit, but I have them leave before the mom decides to start yelling for no reason, I guess some sims are just not good parents to their kids, even if the traits don't indicate it.

I’ve seen this channel pop up a couple of times and it’s been this same video. I never decided to watch it until I wanted something to watch while I relaxed and I’ve gotta say, I love your voice, your attitude, the commitment towards character and everything I’m only 3 minutes in and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this video lmfao Still watching as I type. I subbed right before writing this comment, keep up with the amazing work, you’re so personable and funny!

my best friend's life was like this. she could never come out and play with us or sleep over. somehow she was allowed to have me stay the night once. we ate food on the floor because we couldn't sit on the couch or at the kitchen table. I had to help her do the family's laundry. my parents never let me go back over there. she got kicked out at 17 for doing something completely normal but bc it didn't serve her parents they didn't like it. my parents took her in right away and now she has an amazing life married with her own kids. seeing this be a real life situation is wild.

@@sjanex ur comment implied you were sad and didnt understand why she would choose this topic as a response to someone speaking about how their family dynamic was the exact same. Ur comment implied she should not have made this video bc some ppl have this as their reality. And as a response, i stated that some random person online having experience with this dynamic does not affect whether or not she plays a game just bc of their trauma. There you go.

You know, I was surprised you didn’t use the chores mod, you can set it so your kids and teens have to do chores at certain times, I can’t remember who made it, but it would be nice to see a video where you use it in a scenario like this. Edit: the mod is by Littlemssam. Hopefully that’s spelled correctly, she makes some great mods, and the chores mod is really fun in gameplay if you add it with the allowance mod, but if not, you’re pretty much just making your kids do things instead of just watching tv or making a mess.

need this as a series where she turns into a teen and moves out (emancipated) and works hard to get a great education in therapy and gets a job in like the CPS program. and married the hated or the loved child in the one loved and one hated, i feel like one of of those kids would be awful as an adult and she meet that one and fall in love and try to “change” them.
