Thanks Chantine, your dedication to your sudsers it is really appreciated! The day before yesterday I made your ORIGINAL SOAP PASTE, I did substitute the mango butter with Shea butter. Yesterday I made your ORIGINAL SUGAR SCRUB. I followed your recipes meticulously and both turned out to sheer perfection. Thank you for being so generous with your experience, knowledge and recipes.

I am having so much fun experimenting. I started out with a soap can't remember what oils were in it off the top of my head I used the banana and oil infused in cocoa powder. It had a really creamy lather. I made a whole bunch of it I shredded it and it looked so neat. It looked like chocolate curls so I thought maybe I'll use that to top a soap one day. Then I saw your video. I followed your directions exactly. And I made a gorgeous cream soap and sugar scrub. Then I made a 2lb loaf of soap 80% coconut oil 15% red Palm 5 Castor. 20% super fat. It was a bright yellow soap and it bubbled beautifully. I shredded it down I played around with your formula still staying within the guidelines of course😅 I have bumped this one up to 100% water and 100% glycerin. I figure I can just keep melting it down until I get the desired consistency>I know this one contains different oils than my first batch> I have not added a preservative yet. Although I figured the more I cook it the more water is being evaporated out. Anyways I am having so much fun I love to play in soap. I think I'm going to have to try hot process. I'm thinking about joining your paid KZbin channel so I can join in on the project Soapway!!! I don't have a business or a good camera I only have my cheap phone. But I guess only the winners have to upload a video so I probably would never have to worry about that😂 I love everything you do I love how you experiment I do appreciate you using up your supplies just to teach us things. Keep up the great work the right people love your work❤

Such a great video on saving a batch. You could give the scrubs out to people who buy your products as samples. Call them Franken Scrubs for Halloween, or sell them as "experimental scrubs by the same name! People will love it!!!! Have a great night!! Jill Gross

I appreciate you and your videos immensely. Thank you for taking the time to teach. You're an amazing teacher. I made the soap paste following your recipe, all went well. I then used the recipe from your video to make the whipped sugar scrub which was delightful! I piped it into my jars (cause I think it looks pretty,) and put them on the shelf in my soap room. Temperatures in there are about 72 degrees during the day and cooler at night. There is no direct sun in the room. I have been checking it daily to see how it looks and the first two days it looked the same but today to my dismay, the whip has deflated and the jars look like I only filled them up half way, (I filled to the tippy top.) Maybe I should try adding less water to the next batch? I am going to need to make another batch to refill those jars as I'm sure people won't want to receive a half full jar of product. Before I found your videos, many years ago I tried making a whipped sugar soap scrub from a paste and it completely deflated within days and I decided it was way too much work for something that didn't stay fluffy and pretty so I never tried it again. You inspired me to have another go. I'd really love to be able to get it right. Whipped soaps and scrubs are so lovely! By the way, I 100% understand if you don't read this or reply and was a little worried about commenting because I didn't want to assume you'd have the time to read the long post of a stranger and take the time, which is precious, to reply!

Oh no! I just opened one of my jars to test and it actually feels even nicer than yesterday, (despite that it deflated a ton,) more bubble and no waxy feeling, but all the scrubbiness from the sugar is gone. I think it must have been that I used too much water. Eeek! I am going to need to do another batch tomorrow and hope that using less water helps keep it's fluff and the sugar stays grainy. I think I need to re label my current batch as whipped soap, not scrub!

I just made your soap paste and I am very proud of myself and grateful to you as I am on a small small budget. am a stage four cancer fighter and looking for a low cost hobby. So I have made this twice now. It seems like my sugar melts some after the scrub sits for a couple days. Its not "scrubby" enough. Do I just add more sugar?

I’m not gonna buy a kitchen aid to make this myself but man, I want to crawl right inside that bowl and play with that soap. It looks so soft and fluffy and delightful!

Another brand of stand mixer works perfectly just as well. I have KitchenAid in my Kitchen but another brand for my Soaping Nook Studio.

Serious question: there are other brands of stand mixers? When did that happen? I haven’t had a reason to look them up for a while, but had no idea kitchenaid had competition.

I Just want to say thanks for your dedication! Lord knows I appreciate it! You “teach” in a way I catch easily.. lol.. that being said.. I’m Curious your opinion about using guar gum as a thickener, I’ve also read it can emulsify and stabilize things, as well as, potentially aiding lather and skin softening properties... have you tried this? If not I will! For fun lol! I happen to have some on hand… I’ve been testing my hand at all things whipped.. I’m playing with different consistencies.. (I live down by New Orleans and it’s super hot and crazy humid.) I made one that was super nice, then after a week it turned gluey! Like stretchy! Crazy worse than slime! Totally weird.. lol! Wondering if you’ve encountered that?

Thank you so much for this troubleshooting. so helpful 💜 Does the clay also help in thickening? Like kaolin clay.
@MrsSoapAndClay2 жыл бұрын
I don’t tend to put clays in the sugar scrubs; it can change the consistency of the end product after you’ve packaged. Seeping up the moisture in the container and deflating is what I’ve observed.
@annamadrigal31489 ай бұрын
hi i have a question hopefully you can guide me I purchased whipped base made from a very reputable soap buisness supplier and it was very squeaky and sticky ugly consistency like a reside i don’t know how to fix it i added jojoba oil and the after feel is the same it didn’t change much i only added about 5 percent of my batch i don’t want to throw away 25 lbs of whipped base i e made it before from scratch and i really like mine better the only issue was the smell sci noodles have can you let me know if there’s a different way to make the base less tacky besides adding carrier oil ?
@MrsSoapAndClay9 ай бұрын
Hey! Have you tried adding powders? Kaolin Clay, arrowroot, tapioca, etc should cut down on the tackiness. Have fun!

Hey! Try reducing the amount of glycerin, or adding more liquid oils.

@@MrsSoapAndClay Thank You for replying I appreciate it so much! I’ve been so happy using your recipe, but recently I had feedback from one customer that even though they loved the texture, the scent, the colors, they didn’t like the sticky or tacky feeling. Which I love my customers feedback as it helps me to improve! PS I love every single one of your videos and recipes. I’ve learned so much from viewing them. Thank You for sharing!

Can you use melt and pour soap to make whipped soap?
@MrsSoapAndClay Жыл бұрын
Kinda. Recipes with melt and pour as the base are too finicky for my taste, but if you MUST use melt and pour I would recommend splitting it with a foaming bath soap (1 part m&p, 2 parts foaming bath soap).

It’s the weirdest thing! So the meringue is made from an egg substitute, apparently, and then processed the same way meringue powder typically is, which is also weird. I’m here for it all! 😂
