I made two bars of Syndet soap just to try it out. Even that ate up a lot of ingredients. It performed the same as regular degular soap. I’ll leave the Syndets for hair care or some hybrid experiment in the middle of the night when I can not sleep.

I just don't understand the foaming bath whip hype at all. That amount of "bubbles" isnt worth how much it costs to me. In my state, I can make soap. Nothing else unless you have a licensed facility. Thst is why i found the methods to mske actual whipped SOAP. It just grates on my nerves when people use these bases and call them soap. They aren't, and they didn't "make" them- they just added some stuff to something someone else made, lol. I really have to bite my tongue on those posts in forums. I love that your recipe (asI have tweeked it) makes a creamy consistency that helps the sugar scrub, but not be too harsh- and then rinses clean. Works for me and sells well. That's all that mattters to me.

I could tell you hated doing this video. When I first started I used Stephenson's Bath Whip. I couldn't find it and bought WSP bath whip, I hated it because it was liquidy from the start. So I got the Stephenson recipe and made my sugar scrubs for years making my own base. Lovely! Then I personally fell in love with Nut Hut scrubs! Yes! I formulated my own and now that's what I have used for a year now. I do use some of my own old base for shavers and a couple scrubs that my customers won't let go of. So that's been my journey thus far. Although I did make a batch of your 1st soap sugar scrub and I love it too! Not to mention it is the cheapest out of all the options. It whips up beautiful and stays firm in the jars, no getting soupy on you. So if I were advising I'd say use your 1st soap base recipe. It's a good one! Jill Gross

Was the recipe of hers that soap paste recipe? I am thinking of ordering those ingredients this week and trying it out

After watching this I believe the first one you made with the soap paste has nice bubbles just like the surfactant base. I am definitely going to try out the paste. Does it need a preservative?

Hi.. i am wondering about the expense. First off I am not a pro soap maker, I'm only trying to work out the cost for my investment. you mentioned SCI is expensive. In traditional soap making, doesn't the cost of the oils come up to being similar in expense too? Pls clarify.
