I LOVE your chat videos, Miss Lori. I hope you'll do more of these. And let me say, first, that I'm so glad to hear the news regarding Mr Danny's tests. What a blessing! Of course, I'm finding this video very late; I hope and pray that all is STILL well with him, and that it didn't come back. As to your "Show & Tell," I LOVED it! I've never seen an honest-to-goodness churn. That's AMAZING! Such history behind that thing. You guys are AWESOME! I'm so glad I discovered your channel. I know I'm crazy for binge-watching these, but I'm trying to play catch up; and I didn't want to miss anything. God bless you both!

Seeping Springs Farm mine too. I'm excited that Lori and Danny put all this information in video form to save for posterity. Not that they are "old folks" yet. (I'm the youngest of the old folks IMHO. I'm in my 60s) They have a lot of wisdom of old ways that are important. Future generations will benefit from what they have to say. And I just love Miss Lori. She reminds me of my bff. She's a from scratch cook, shabby chic lover whose family hails from AR as well. I think she and Miss Lori could probably talk for hours and hours.

I know you asked the date of the actual filming. I'm sure it was within a few days of the date. I hope this helps you. I also watch older videos from some of my favorite channels and I always have to look at the date so I can put it into better perspective. 😘

Mr. Brown and Ms. Lori- I buy heavily from Johnnys Seed. One of the reasons I do, is that Jim & I live in New Hampshire and Johnnys is in Maine. Same growing zone. I plant Borage to attract bumble bees and wild bees to our woods. That helps. Also plan to plant buckwheat, white clover and wild flowers to attract bees. You do realize that honey bees tend to take off and forage a mile out... We built our farm cottage in 2016, so we are in the early stages of woodland gardening. We do have open field gardens at the main farm. Neighboring farms also provide those vegetables we either don't grow or have crop failure. I appreciate our community which is spread out through adjacent rural towns. We get our fresh eggs from Salisbury, which is quite a ways away, but they are kind to include us in their egg route. Some day I will have Barred Rock laying hens and Toulouse geese and Call ducks, but we have black bear issues. We don't want them around our house and the chickens could attract them. Any suggestions? ~ Diane

They were very easy to pull up. I had a volunteer squash that I'd composted the fall before so I stopped turning it. Tomato volunteers went to my brother's place. OH I miss it so. BTW,,, I grew up two miles south of O'Hare Field. Not many planes until I was about ten years old. Loved my city gram who had a chicken coop for a few years and loved my country gram equally. The best of both worlds but where I lived was not too good but for education. If I make my own t-shirt it would say "I'd rather be in the woods".

Miss Lori... a what kind of garden? I just couldn't make out what you're saying. So I searched the internet and found "potager" (French) is a kitchen garden for herbs and vegetables used in cooking and it typically included greenhouses and cold frames and herbs and cut flowers for the household. My neighbor makes his just like the first picture on the wikipedia page. In squares. He plants chrysanthemums around the borders. They bloom twice a year for him. And I'm with you Lori! I absolutely love growing flowers!!!! The petunias are for outside, of course. Because I do want some of my flowers to beautify my outdoor garden. But absolutely I want cut flowers for indoors. I love to plant cosmos, daisies, black-eyed Susan, coriopsis, zenias & sunflowes (which attract cardinals and yellow finches). Last year I did English Daisies (but Thumper ate the blossoms). He lives under my hostas & heuchera (coral bells). I love my tulips, daffodils, anemones, iris, and glads. I've done some roses and pansies and petunias. My mom always had petunias every summer and me and my silly sisters would pick th flowers and take 3 bobby pins and make our dancing petunia dolls. Put 2 bobby pins on the 3rd one for body and legs. She will twirl like a can-can dancer! Then you put the petunia on for a skirt! Go ahead and laugh!! Kids can make a toy out of anything! I was the worst for it. It drove my mother mad! I made everything into art or a toy. We dressed up our kittens in doll dresses. We made forts and played with cars too. We just entertained ourselves. I miss those days.

What a find in the butter churn! Even if you don't use it, it is an heirloom and great to have. My late husband was a farmer and he would always say don't plant until the soil is to temperature. It won't grow. I didn't know that green beans would bloom but not put off any beans. Shame, I hope you get lots of bean this year. Winters here in PA can range all over the place. Some winters can be so bitter and we can have extreme cold, other winters can be mild or we can be "normal". What ever normal is now. lol I get cabin fever too, especially when the snow won't let up! So happy that you don't have cancer Danny, my late husband passed from cancer at 52 4 years ago. You never want to see your loved one suffer from cancer, so very happy you are cancer free! Take care and stay healthy. Hugs, Brenda

So nice to see you all. Wishing you great weather so you can get your planting started soon. No idea about the butter churn. Maybe do a Google search on the info you can find on the label. Peace and Good Fortune to you and your family.
