You guys are such a WONDERFUL couple, and a great living testimony of what a Christian marriage should be. And I truly LOVE the chats you have with us, whether it's you and Mr Brown, or just you. The stories NEVER get old. Oh...and the pictures you shared with us...what a BEAUTIFUL bride you were, Miss Lori! And Mr Brown so handsome. You guys looked wonderful together, even back then. You are BOTH such a blessing, and inspiration. You've lived a good life, giving credit to God for the blessings He's given you, but a hard one, too, as you've chosen to do the homesteading throughout your lives. I'm sure it's not been easy, but you guys have come through with your love of each other, and of God, still intact. THAT's something! Thank you for this FABULOUS video. I enjoyed the making of the potato salad, the baked beans, and the grilled porkchops. It ALL looked so good. But stories, as you ate, were the icing on the whole video "cake." God bless to you, both.

@@WhippoorwillHoller God bless you both 🙏 Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 And let's pray some how Our Economy can get better this New Year coming 🙏 As it's getting harder & harder for People to just eat , pay their Electric bills etc..... Our Seniors & Veterans and The True suffering families with children are now even living in their Vehicles or sold their homes & living in RV's . Our Montgomery County, Texas Food bank has asked , pleaded more then years past to help more this year . As they have more families , seniors and Normal people who 2 years ago were living fine are now finding theirselves-selling every thing they own to just live and selling their cattle etc ... Our lives are getting so hard - but even with the SUPREME COURT ORDERING those in our WHITE HOUSE TO STOP ALLOWING THE MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS IN OVER OUR BORDER & Who knows who has gotten in to harm our country. They get free food stamps, free housing , free medical free cell phones . While AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE SUFFERING . GOD BLESS YOU MRS LORI & MR.BROWN IM sorry I vented but I just got out of the hospital after I was in there in October for spinal fusion due to falling hard in our garden & then It got infected and I ended up with SEPSIS- I'm lucky to be alive and I'm 57 years old . My poor husband is doing everything plus working a full time job ( which is really 50-65 hours a week ) he will be 60 . I'm so lucky to have my husband as it's so sad , I'm old school & always did the cooking , laundry etc . We will be alone for Christmas as I can't take any chances of getting sick.. Plus we lost our youngest child & only daughter at age 19 5 months after graduating High school from Medical malpractice severe negligence the day before Thanksgiving . Our lives were forever changed that day . April Ann Ulrich. My Guardian angel watching over me . What a blessing you had. I was married for almost 20 years.. but he wasn’t a nice man unfortunately. Very abusive. I thought I needed to honor my vows. I’m blessed to be out of that and unfortunately will not ever marry again. I dated a couple of people and it was not good. Men today, aren’t what they were back in my grandparents day. Chivalry is out the window & attitudes are so far gone. It’s truly sad. I’m sorry for your loss. It would be near impossible to top what you had... God bless you.

This is what old fashioned cooking and sharing life is about! We used to do this on a regular basis when our mom was still living. Us five kids and our families would all come together and enjoy mom's cooking (or us making mom's recipes) so she didn't have to do anything in the later years, just be there! Those are the best memories we will ever have! I do a lot of scratch cooking and baking and homemade deserts, using a lot of mom's recipes as well as ones I've come up with over the years. Our family seems to enjoy eating it as much as I do making it.

Just ran across this video again. So precious ❣️ People that were not raised in the country have surely missed so much. Electric fences can be so much "entertainment". My best friend is 5'10", I am 5'4". I had a temporary corral for one of my horses in the backyard. Ever do something without ONE SENSIBLE THOUGHT??? This was MY fence,MY house,MY horse. She stepped over the top strand of fence, without one brain cell,I followed her. Needless to say,her anatomy is about 6" higher than mine. I laid on the ground for a good 10 minutes.... Love all of the pictures 💕💕. Love the chitchatt💕💕 Love you guys so much💕💕. You are a reminder that there is true love, goodness and hope in a world spinning out of control.

My Nana passed away at 101 years old and she made her potato salad just like Miss Lori. That is how her mother made it and that is how her sister made it he was 12 years older than her. It is definitely old fashioned potato salad other than they used miracle whip during the depression because during the depression they made miracle whip to stretch mayonnaise as that’s what I was told by my Nana who was told by her mother. I am young in my late 30s but she shared everything with me and she shared it with my mom as well. That recipe has been passed down.

I love listening to your story, I really think you two are a beautiful couple thank you for sharing with us. I love your recipes and mostly love where you live looks so peaceful. My husband and I have been married 36 years but we only knew each other for three weeks then got married, but it worked and we are still happy. I'm so happy to see people married for a long time you don't see that much anymore. You two are so sweet to each other and that's awesome.

Hi! I'm new, a granny in Illinois, love watching others cook homemade food. Holiday coming up, wanted to see how you cook this, looks really good! Beautiful piece of land you have. Used to visit my sister in law b4 she passed, she had acreage outside of town, so quiet compared to city life. Loved watching birds and squirrels out there.
