It would help if this video mentioned that the flow meter is directional, and you need to take note of the arrow on the flow meter housing when installing the new unit. The arrow should indicate flow direction of water into the machine from the valve controllers.

Our washer came with the house when we bought it and have been giving us F20 codes recently. I ordered a new flowmeter but when I opened the top panel there is no flowmeter. Just the black tubing straight from the water source to the detergent tray. There is also no stray wire that you would plug the flowmeter into to indicate that the previous owner just remove the flowmeter without replacing it. The washer is a Kenmore Elite HE3T and looks exactly like the one in this video.

My Duet started giving "F20" errors.. figured it was a flow meter problem. I ended up leaving the top screws off for easy removal, giving the flow meter a few wacks with my finger when the water starts flowing at the start. That seems to make it "work" and skip the F20 error, and it continues working for a few more loads after that. Guess I'll keep doing that until it stops working completely. And this video is great for showing how to actually replace when the time comes Thanks :)

Hi @repairclinic.com. We are having and issue with our washer, Whirlpool Duet Front load model GHW9150PW0. It is giving us the HF error code. We have already replaced the water inlet valve, and the flow meter. All the filters and screens were cleaned as well. Not sure what the problem could be, but it gets to the rinse cycle and the code comes up. All pipes are fully open and not kinked. Any thoughts?

I'm trying to replace the flowmeter on our washer per your video instructions, but we can't get the hoses to detach from the old flow meter. They simply won't pull off. Do you have any tips to help with this step?

I get a F11 error code during the first C:01 stage of the Diagnostic test, could it just be a flow meter problem? I had water coming in the machine for maybe 10 seconds and then error code F11. I know that the flow meter is tested in the C:01 stage along with the cold water inlet valve. Or maybe my problem is when entering the C:02 stage while testing the Dispensor motor and dispensor contact? (I have a kenmore Elite HE3 washer)
