Great common sense straight up video on how to do the job at hand. I commend you for your ability to do that, Thanks, it will make it happen quicker, next week when I do it.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing your experience. Much appreciated. I will try on mine. The washing machine is solid on the floor and level. It does not shake or wobble if I try to push it from side to side, so I know the feet are leveled. I do notice the drum bounces around a lot when the machine operates, and it actually does walk backward towards the wall and makes a loud banging sound on the spin cycles.

Open your door. Push up on your drum and see if it has a lot of play in the bearing. Most likely the bearing is worn out on the back of the drum. I have another video on bearing replacement.

I tested the drum by pushing up and down and back and forth, but heard no clicking sounds, so I think my bearings are good. I bought the shocks on Amazon and went about replacing them today. One shock was actually broken and just hanging there. The others were very, very loose. Machine now works like new. Again, thanks for showing your video. Note for others: I am not as dexterous as "Fix Them Things", and since I had enough space to get to the back of the machine, by moving the dryer to the side and pullilng the washing machine forwards, that was the route I took. Replacing the shocks was as easy as "Fix Them Things", showed in his video.

@@fixthemthings I could not find your video on replacing the bearings on KZbin. Can you post the link? Thank you.

@@noey5766 it’s not the same model but is pretty much the same procedure. Were you able to push up on the drum and have slip in it? kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaG8nX-HirGSsJosi=VK-4yJhc5Bx13hUj

@@fixthemthings Thank you for the link. I will keep it as a reference. I pushed up and down and back and forth on the drum, and it seemed fine. No clicks or anything funny, so that was a good check you suggested on the bearings. I actually replaced the 4 shocks and machine works beautifully......no more walking!!. Thank you for making these videos,.

Thanks for showing how easy it is to get the old out and new in. And for showing how the old ones moved so freely with NO damping. Looks like this is the fix my Duet washer needs (now that my new motor control board makes it spin again and complete cycles!).

Thank you for your video! My Whirpool has recently started making a lot of noise and I was planning to replace the shock absorbers. Only yesterday I had a leakage from the bottom of the machine, but I haven't yet identified where the water is coming from. Did you have a similar problem too? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

For the leak, check for a pin hole in the flexible drain hose. I found a bra strap sticking out of ours and it was dripping. Could also be from the drain pump area. Check the drain. Hope that helps.

I just bought one of these last year to replace a 2017 Samsung washer that failed. Replacing shocks now that I’ve seen your video. It’s been shaking for months. Do you have any general maintenance tips for this washer or things I should replace as a precautionary to keep it going

How do you remove the panel to gain access to the shocks?
@perrysanders99985 ай бұрын
3 screws on the bottom front of the washer.

Do you still have this? I have the WFW9600TA from 2008!

I actually do still have it. We now use it in the basement for towels and comforters. We finally purchased a new one we use for clothes.

I guess you didn't show how you replaced the one in the back on the left side because there's not much room to work around the drum motor from the front of the washer. I got it though.

A locking piler would be a great tool to have in that situation.
