Hey Jon, wow, these are bangers to say the least. I've had HP's including the cask strength bottling but I must admit, I've always loved Ardbeg Weebeastie, 10 has been a favorite and have had at least a couple of bottles of Uigeadails in the last 4 years or so. I do have a Correyvreckan which will eventually get opened one of the colder winter months. For some reason, I can see myself going back to Uigeadail more than say HP. Cheers to you and yes I am so thankful to be amongst those that I care about and those that make me to be proud and stay humble. Happy Thanksgiving! PS. Enjoying a dram of Glendronach 15 after a nice juicy roasted turkey dinner with all the works and watching your video to cap off.

Considering Ardbeg only reopened in 1997, they've certainly managed to gain almost legendary status. Pushing a bit hard on price these days though. I have the 10, nothing else from their line. I'll get the chance to try the Corry and the Uigeadail at some point, I'm sure. From what I've seen reviewed, the Uige would be more up my alley. The HP CS is listed through the LCBO for $130, not in stock at the moment. Their bottles are probably expensive to produce, but they certainly are beautiful! Hope your weekend is chugging along nicely. "m"e 🇨🇦

I hope you can try more in Ardbeg's line too. If you are going for peat, I believe they are hard to beat. The CS 3 is tasty, but an odd bitterness on opening. Hopefully that will dissapate with a bit of air and time.

Jon, just wanted to say your current set/nook is very nice. I am curious...how many bottles do you have down there. ... Cory or Ugi....which is your fav.
@WhiskyNeighbour3 ай бұрын
@@whiskeymusic9684 I should go count! Without counting, I would think around 80 or so. For the Ardbeg, I prefer Ugi. That said, I have not done a side by side

I generally don't like peat but I recall appreciating both Laphroig 10 & Ardbeg 10. The Ardbeg Corry & Ardcore both tasted like mud and ashes to me. I might have to try them again. I also liked Jura 10 but the peat is lighter.

They are heavy for sure. Of the two, I do prefer the uigeadail

First guess when I hear French oak is wine? With Corryvreckan perhaps white wine or refill red? Hard to know. Cheers Jon
@WhiskyNeighbour3 ай бұрын
Could be. More white then red or recharred red? I can't see it being virgin, but almost tastes that way.

Huge fan of Ardbeg Coreyvreckan all year!! It’s one of my favourite scotch expressions! I haven’t had the Highland Park but it’s tough to beat Ardbeg’s Coreyvreckan!! Delicious!! 🎉Happy Thanksgiving!!

Ordering a bottle of Corry to complete my Ardbeg core. Had it a while ago and it was great. Not a fan of HP 12, but a cask strength release might change my mind. Happy Thanksgiving Jon! Cheers.
