I had a spider in my AC 200 once in the tank. I would lose power , shut it down and after it would sit a while, it would run great for a little bit, then lose power again. Blew out the tank good and that fixed it. Found the spider on the milk filter round i was running the bad fuel into the barrel with, It can drive ya crazy. Kevin.

From an old White mechanic. Bleed the air at the top of the fuel filter by cracking the plug at the top right of the fuel filter. If the engine continues to lose power or shut down the fuel return from the injection pump to the tank may be plugged. The elastic governor ring in the pump will deteriorate and plug up the return to the tank. It usually looks like tiny black pieces and jams up the check valve on top of the injector pump. With a good fuel supply and a good injection pump it only requires a few minutes of operation to clear out the trapped air in the system. There will always be a small amount of air in the top of the glass fuel filter.

Usually does fire off after running out of fuel as long as fuel is at the injection pump. I've never been able to get it to run if air is in the line from the filter to the pump. Crack the line at the pump until fuel flows and it'll take off.

Tank probably needs to be cleaned. I was disking with a 756 and it ran right out of power and barely made it back to the farm. Rust in the tank blocked off the flow. That white is a nice tractor tho. Always liked the 2-70s.

I have a oliver 1650 that was doing the same thing I drained the tank twice and it would still plug up, I ended up fitting a piece of break line about a 1.5 inches long into the end of the nipple of the sedament bowl that screws up into the tank, I forget now what the diameter of the line was but it fit reel snug. I did loose a 1.5 inch of fuel capacity but its been 7 years and it hasnt plugged up since

Sediment in the tank or something obstructing the flow to the filter possibly

Something was behind the fuel shut-off.

My fords are way easier to bleed than my massey or a Cummins

Only time I had an issue with the Ford is with the old motor with the inline injection pump. I changed the fuel filter one time and the hand pump wouldn't pump to bleed the filter. Found out the camshaft had to be in a certain position and just had to bump the key then the pump would work .
