I love how fast an loose you are with the light, it shows both technical proficiency, but also that this isn’t rocket science, and you don’t need Broncolor or anything crazy to make top notch work. Just a firm understanding of the fundamentals and practice.
@workphlo2 жыл бұрын
Totally! Light is light, and many products do creative things with light but understanding it fundamentally can achieve so many quality looks... Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hi Dustin. I cannot find the Acrylic bottle support. I already gave the metal one. Please tell me where to find it. Also, can you do a video on client acquisition and the business of product photography please?
@workphlo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! If you place an order through the link (workphlo.shop/b) we are now fulfilling this with Clear Acrylic Plates, the photo is in the process of being updated, you'll see a small notice on the product page we have switched to acrylic material. Thnaks for the idea for Client Acquisition I think that's a great area to share some ideas, stay tuned!

Awesome buddy - another great tutorial... Can I ask you what weight translum you use? I got a roll of Lee Filter, but I have to double up - it's just too thin. BTW... I always find that adding a shadow gives the product some gravity / weight, and for me, it's key to adding to an image like this. Thanks my friend - loving the hair!

This video was really helpful! Clear, straight forward explanation! Thank you. I would like to get a couple lights and modifiers to start taking this type of pictures (on a hobbies level). I was looking at AD200pro which seems to be very versatile, but rather pricey. Could you recommend a few lights please. Thanks!

Great video as usual Dustin, thank you. [UPDATE: I now see the note on product page indicating that you switched to clear.. awesome] I'm looking to purchase the bottle support with transparent acrylic plate but can only find the bottle support attachment with 3" metal plate. Is a version with clear acrylic available? Or do the metal plates unscrew from the threaded screw?

Hey Dustin, another high quality, helpful tutorial, thank you. When manually selecting, how do you get a nice shape at the bottom of the bottle? I know you pre-made your selection here, but I wanted to see that part! I struggle with this area- there's never enough detail in the shadow to use the magnetic tool, and using poly tool takes too long when editing many product images (50+). And my shape looks ordinary. Thanks again
