I love catching white bass and wipers. Hardest fighting fish in freshwater, pound-for-pound in my book. Inline spinners are a great way to catch them when they are active and chasing shad during the warmer months!

Man, your video gave me that "fishing itch" again! A few years back I was fishing on the bank with inline spinners/jig grubs and caught about a hundred whites a little over an hour. No jokes, average one cast one fish! When you find a school and when they feed, the game begins and nonstop action. White bass pretty much hit anything that moves, spins, flashes in front of them. Make sure your lures aren't too big, 1/16 to 1/4 the tickets. Love the whites, they are eating machines and good fighters!!

I've caught just about everything with inline spinners. I have a bunch of them. In the spring, bluegills and crappies will hit them. I've caught largemouth, smallies, walleye, channel cat, bigfoot, and assorted farm animals with an inline spinner. Those are some big white bass.

Spencer is right, though I’ve heard of folks down in the Mississippi deltas spotting a few in slightly brackish water. But yes, primarily fresh water. It’s their opposable thumbs that make them extra hard to land. They can basically unhook themselves, or just break you off with ease. Farm animals are mere child’s play compared to Bigfoot.

I had a big wiper towing my kayak around the lake last night here in Iowa. I threw a plastic shad into them when a school was breaking around me, hooked this guy, and he stayed with the school for a while, bringing me along. Just stripped line whenever I got him close. These things fight like beasts. I don't know anywhere on the river to get into them like this. What an awesome spot you have. You've inspired me to shop for a few spinners as that's something missing from my tackle box.
