Ironically, it was Rosemary Clooney who said Bing made it so easy that “ if you can’t sing with Bing Crosby, you can’t sing.” I got to see her in concert a few years before she died. She was better than ever, and so in touch with the audience. In retrospect it was an honor and a privilege to have been there. Truly one of the greats.

We were all left with such a precious gift with this show and these actors who take us step backwards to a moment in time when life was a little more simple. This show was also paid a wonderful tribute to the service boys facing some scary moments of their own mortality durring war time. Those who were greatful to be alive to make it back home to their loved ones for christmas. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this precious gift you brought in to our lives and our homes. I have a special place in my heart for White Christmas and Ms. Clooney. Family lore says that after WWII my grandfather was working at a radio station in NYC and met Rosemary. He asked her out to dinner and they apparently had a great time (“but no funny stuff” I’m told lol). He said she was even more beautiful in person and had the best personality. Tuberculosis (TB) is a global pandemic such as the world has never seen. 1.5 million died from it each year. It is the “most contagious disease in the history of mankind.” It is spread from infected people talking, singing, laughing, sneezing, coughing or spitting. So, why were/are there no TB pandemic response demands from the WHO, CDC, governments, doctors, or the UN to wear masks, washing your hands? Where are the food shortages, toilet paper shortages, disinfectant shortages due to TB? The job losses, the shut downs, the layoffs because of TB pandemic? The quarantines, the social distancing because of TB? TB has ALWAYS made flu-viruses like Covid-19 look like the sniffles. The ‘protective’ measures the CDC and WHO have recommended can’t stop it! In fact, herd mentality history indicates that those ‘preventative measures’ make it much worse. Covid’s real but the toxicity is exaggerated and the mortality rates are inflated for the sake of monetary greed within the medical profession and for the benefit of liberal politicians and their power grab.

The actors are geniuses. An overly stimulating movie with so much song, dance, and don't forget the story line of the General...that one tear in his eye at the end pretty much sums up life...and it was said in "It's a Wonderful Life" at the end..."No man is a failure who has friends". Bing was THE heart throb of my mom's age group. They used to call him, The Binger," , too hilarious and charming! Love these wonderfully talented folks and this film. What a group.

I wasn't born until 2 years after this film was made, but it's my favorite movie. It's sad for me to watch now as the world is not as wonderful as what's depicted in this movie. .

"White Christmas" is my favorite Christmas film. "Sisters". I still find the baby blue dresses and fans still delights me. "Love, You Didn't Do Right by Me." Edith Head's gown in black velvet (with the diamond pin), and Miss Clooney's silver gloves is sexy as all get out. I've got a CD of the songs from the film, originally it was produced by Decca, which was Crosby's label. Rosemary Clooney's label was Columbia, so she couldn't record any of numbers in the show. Peggy Lee replaced her. There was rumors that Vera-Ellen was anorexic, hence her high-necked costumes, which were designed to hold her head up. She denies this. She was embarrassed of her thin neck she says. She, they also say, was prone to fainting after her fast dance numbers (the yellow dance costume number in "White Christmas"). I can just imagine in rehearsals, dancing it again and again, even if she did not have an eating problem, I would faint, too. Anyways, if you have not seen the movie, it is one of the great Hollywood musicals. I know you will not be disappointed.

My best friend of 55 years & I have been huge WC fans since we were kids & have memorized virtually the whole dialogue. The past few years, it has played in theaters for a few days in December, we've gone with my daughter & granddaughters. The grands can't quite believe we can recite ALL the lines right along with the stars. I highly recommend watching it on the big screen if you have the chance, especially to see costume details.

I always shed a tear at the end of the movie when they all stand up and sing. A flashback of things that will never be again and all the memories that will no longer be experienced again. Trivia- The blonde dancer who stays “ well I never” is Barrie Chase , who is still around.

Pity Rosemary Clooney never wrote a memoir with all the really unpublishable stories she knew about everybody..but she was too good and true a friend....anyway I believe every word she ever sang and that's more than enough....wonderful woman
