I love white nights watercolor but this sennelier turquoise looks lovely!! Thank you for this comparison )) Can I ask is that the white nights discontinued PB50? It looks like the old one if I remember well, it used to be redder than some other indanthrenes, although I don`t know if they released the new one yet

I was thinking about buying their Cerulean Blue, but after seeing this, maybe I won't? If it's less pigmented than Holbein... Do you think Manganese Nova from Holbein would be a good substitute for a cerulean?

sorry, let me clarify, on its own the White Nights cerulean blue is okay but when compared to holbein, i could definitely tell that holbein’s was opaque due to PB35 being an opaque pigment and the granulation showed beautifully. the white nights one in comparison felt like it had a lot of filler making mixes muddier more easily. however, white nights’ granulation still shows and the pigment separates well in mixes if that’s what you’re looking for. i havent used manganese nova but i’ve seen a swatch in person before and if i remember correctly, the manganese nova is basically the “cerulean blue hue” made with phthalo blue in holbein’s range. if you’re not looking for granulation, then it could definitely work but i think you can find cheaper cerulean blue hues (vangogh’s is good :)).

dont worry, it hurts me too😭! the paper’s sizing was off which i didn’t know at the time, and that brush is awful. those were my bad days 😅 thanks for watching and commenting anyway~ ❤️
