Got myself one of these about two months ago.I don't wear it as a necker but instead on my belt. It disappears on your waist and you don't even notice it after a while.Excellent blade,light and sharp.

I've had my backpacker for a month or so now, I love it. I don't really use it as a neck knife, I generally carry it crossdraw on my belt or I take the belt loop off and just throw it in my pocket. Love the knife.

On the serious.. I had one of these.. loved it. Gave it to my dad, who subsequently lost it. I WILL be getting another.. probably with DLC coating. In my experience, S30V sharpens really well. I use an Edge Pro Apex sharpener... definitely recommend it.

I got the caper version with green micarda and I love it. It’s my edc and back up woods knife. My primary is the Esse6 fully customized from the knife connection. I don’t neck carry it it’s awesome for appendix carry

Backpacker shealth breaks in quickly.Mine is the best retention,easiest to get out knife,ever. I have never used a more secure neck knife. Also, LOVE the knife.

Chris I know you heard this before but neck knives are ridiculous. First off a neck knife shows you have a knife, also assisted opening pocket knives do the same shit and open faster and in some cases quicker to draw. They dangle and a lot of people don't have custom sheath makers at their disposal so yah it has to do with opinion but neck knives serve no practical purpose

Agreed. if I wanted a small knife to carry it would be horizontally across my back. A 2.5 to 3 inch blade is great for scout carry. something worn around the neck is bound to bring trouble.

Personally I wear gym shorts a lot in my down time, I don't like a weighty object like a knife in my pocket, and I have no belt. Neck knives have a place. If you don't like it that's fine, but I love them. Also you can wear the knife under your shirt so it doesn't flop everywhere.
